I have to admit, I think JLC is a great presenter and all-round good personality, but this is wank. An issue here is that you can see he's proud of his material, laughing along with his own jokes and looking a little smug, more or less telling the audience it's supposed to be funny. It's something that backfires on most comedians who do it.

Sure JLC had once before mentioned about his comedy past and how it was a nightmare and would never do it again I believe when he was doing the show where he had to train to be a ventriloquist.
