have never heard any biscuits stuff (let alone live stuff) before watching this. i like what im hearing, and the dissonance at the beginning of the video is reminiscent of phish, but they have their own spin on jamming. looks like ill be at the next show in my town!
I love the biscuits and sts9...but, it's just not even fair to compare them to Chumphrey's McNutsack. Chumphrey's tags along on tour with tdb and sts9, and "share" (steal) a set from the good bands! There's no better way to ruin a perfectly good biscuits or tribe show, then to invite Chumphrey's McNutsack to play a set! I respect the fact that they're talented musicians...but then Mr. Bayliss starts singing and everything goes to shit. They sound like a lame jamband version of O.A.R.
Ok... you're right... I guess that whole "DUMB" tour never happened??? And I guess they DIDN'T have to share the stage at Bonnaroo... Must of all just been a bad dream, in which I was forced to listen to Chumphrey's.. Do they still cover Flock of Seagulls? Really creative! ALMOST as creative as including "420" in your username! Uber heady, bra!
wow one tour, and i do remember that. it doesnt happen that often though. plus i dont know what the hell your problem is. If your gonna get on me and say my name isnt heady or whatever thats fine. But it sounds to me like your not heady at all. Music is supposed to be about having a good time, thats what i go to the shows for. not to dis some random people on the internet. So have a good time being a D-bag bra!
Sorry man but you are wrong. This is also coming from someone who isn't the biggest fan of either band. The Biscuits (although not my thing) have original Music/Talent.
Umphreys can cover anything from front to back and technically are great. But they sound too instructed. Almost like over-taught Berklee grads. Proficient musical technicality doesn't constitute good music. Soul and Personal expression/ influence does.
you experience something that cant be described by your conventional human senses. the level of deep thought and reflection is incomparable to any other human experience....and for all that i know. it could be a completely different experience for each individual.
The feelings that you experience cannot be measure by any conventional human belief. the things that you experience are unique in your own individual state of mind, but similar because others reflect in the same general patterns of thought. Your life experiences interpersonal connections and hereditary genetics shape the person you visualize yourself as and theoretically become..
I have no memory of posting this. I wasn't even on my computer for the past few days. So I'm speachless. Myself, I know very well what an LSD trip is like, and am very glad to have had the chance to experience it.
@TryLSDnow Not tripping is like going through life without ever experiencing sex! With LSD, just make sure you not mentally problemed, and make sure you get your dose from someone you trust, who can hook you up with a mild 100 mic dose. This should give anyone a hint at the heavenly euphoria & knowledge LSD may offer. BTW it's been almost 10 years since I've had a tab of acid offered to me at a concert. This is sad to me, since I hope the newer generations aren't getting the same shortage.
@TryLSDnow The most accurate visual representation I've seen was that trip scene in Taking Woodstock. Things seem to move, colors are vivid if not changing. Sounds seem to echo to the very core of your mind and soul (your brain will provide sounds to trip to if you have none). Above all, there is a question, burning in your mind, but you don't know what the question is. But you know you should seek the answer, so you get stuck between finding the answer and the question. That's LSD for me.
@AbsolutelyTranced couldnt agree with u more i saw the movie taking woodstock and i was suprised at how well they examplified an L trip even showed my friends
This band played in the town next to me the other weekend and there were 14 drug arrests and a dozen more alcohol arrests. This is definitely a trip band
lol... i only saw the dead once its fun and shit but honestly if im in car i dont listen to them much, and u dont got to be on drugs to enjoy any of it even though i have been before.. but you dont have to be i saw bisco twice and both times was fun with or without them
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow this is really bad. it sounds like some semi funky polka guitar duel or something. and i dont think they were going for that. they are really bullshiting this
ehhh, sort of...there's alwyas gonna be SOMEONE talking, but no, not everyone goes around talking all the time...if there's good sound at the venue you wont notice really
not at all. i hate when people say you listen to the disco biscuits and the dead. you must do a lot of drugs. although i might do drugs, i dont have to be on them to enjoy the disco biscuits.
the dead, no way! you can appreciate their lyrics and beauty sober but for bisco yes indeed cause their music will piss you off otherwise! also dont ever group the dead with bisco thats sacreligious
personally, i need drugs to enjoy the dead's drug addled mishmash of americana and directionless improvisation. i think its sacreligious to group them in with a band as good as the disco biscuits. i saw 12 shows with jerry, but i was just there for the drugs. now i go to biscuits shows clean for the music.
glad to know that Dead fans are still just as resistant to music that sounds like it was made after 1972 as they've always been.
you clearly have not listened to enough then. sure the biscuits aren't playing with as much 'soul' anymore, but you clearly have not done your homework if you think this was always true, please see anything pre 03/04.
@FunkyDung1969 man that is soooo true i could not agree more. i mean experience music on a trip is very awesome is def. not the only way to enjoy and experience music.
Yes. It was the debut. If you would notice it says in the video info "camp bisco 6." This took place at indian lookout country club in august of 2007 and this was the first time they played the song.

I can hear it when he starts the guitar solo around 1:40 into it.... its only for afew seconds but i def hear it......good call dude i dont think i would have caught that....maybe were over analyzing but i hear what your saying...they go back into the rio theme at like 2:40...again maybe over analyzing but good call regaurdeless dude
