Alright. So, he did not leave the Strokes. Nobody left the Strokes. THey just decided to take a little break and work on solo projects. In fact, Julian didn't want to do a solo project, but since everyone else went their ways, he decided to try it. They are making an album, he already recorded all the lyrics, and the band is still together. The album is planned to come out in January, although the original date was supposed to be sometime in September. Hope that answered some questions.

They are still making an album. I believe this will be their 4th one, but no. Julian and the Strokes are still together.

When I saw the trailer for "Phrazes..." on his website, I already knew this song would be the best on the album.

It's amazing.

The only thing I do not totally like is the fact that the instrumental is "covered" by Julian singing for all the length of the song.
