As a tactics consultant to the US Army, I must say that there is a reason that 90% of the Army's combatives manual is BJJ. Other tactics only cover small aspects of unarmed combat. BJJ is the way to go. Everything is else has a lower rate of success.
one, someone good at bjj can take out 2 people with bjj, ive done it before. two, who else can fight multiple attackers with weapons? your such an ass. i can almost bet youre in some fake martial art like krav maga or "self defense" where you learn how to defend yourself against a knife attacker... as long as they attack in slow motion and willingly take rediculous combos without doing anything else
^^word, people always say jiu jitsu doesnt work against multiple attackers but you don't necessarily have to go to the ground to win a fight with bjj. bjj ground techniques just happen to be one strength but there are also throws, sweeps, takedowns and standing locks and chokes that can be applied just as quickly as striking combinations.
saying that bjj wont work against multiple attackers because it is groundfighting is like saying a right hook wont work on someone who is covering the side of their head, a boxer could easily just discard them with an uppercut. also, obviously you are at a disadvantage against multiple attackers but it is a disadvantage for any style so dont state an exception trying to be smart just cuz ur jealous nerd ass gets beat up too much.
What the video shows is a combination of strength and cardio training mixed with good ground skills. The multiple attacker question is a moot point. Their training is intense. Nobody wants to mess with a guy in that kind of shape.
