yep- don't mess around that place. drop in take your ride and kick out early rather than late. trying to fade and look cool will get you clobbered sooner or later. and just falling 15 feet traveling 35+mph will peel your eye lids back and open your lungs up to a load of sandy sea water. you can get pheumonia from a bad wipeout..or a broken ear drum etc..

I had one of my worst wipeouts at Puerto. The wipeout was bad, but the worst part was being stuck in the impact zone for wave after wave. I don't think I have ever taken more waves on the head than that time 7 years ago (even in heavy paddle outs at Ocean Beach SF)
