When I was little I liked Barbie, only because she was the only one around. But now all these other dolls are showing up, and out of all of them, Bratz pretty much stands out. Barbie still remains popular. Who buys Bratz as collectibles? What Bratz doll is worth +3000 $? Bratz only appeal on a surface level as banal fashion dolls. They do not encourage imaginative play like Barbies (be a doctor, teacher, cop etc). And well yeah, today children have very brittle principles and a shallow outlook.
