@taylorwilliamm Depends on what you want. If the Wah is first it's much more dynamic, but if you run it through any distortion then it gets muddied up. Think of it this way, if it comes before your distortion then your wah gets distorted and lost in the mix. But if it comes after, then you add a wah wah to your distortion, which keeps the sound intact without everything getting blended into one distortion-y mess.

Hey, Good demo. Thinking about getting the Boss ME70. I use a Blackstar HD100 head so I will probably want to keep using the amp's natural clean and OD channels. I understand that you can bypas the amp models, but is it a true bypass? also can you use more than one effect at a time e.g. pedals 1&3 together? Thanks for your time.

If you get your sound you get your sound... you dont stand around thinkin ... hey I love this sound ...but is it true bypass... Noope.... Most of the 80's - 90's guitarheroes never saw true bypass in their rigs.... look for your sound and find it, don't think or listen to other too much.... Best Wishes // Michael

Hey how does the Vox wah pedal compare to the inbuilt wah in the me70?

Have you had any trouble using just one PSA adapter for all those pedals? The PSA is 200mA, and the ME-70 alone is 150mA, add in those other pedals and you're well over.

Lovely playing man. Its helping me decide to buy this unit - I was always put off on the basis that a multi-fx can't replace all those pedals... but the sounds you have from this are really nice. I only have an MT-2 and CE-2 as it is, so I'm thinking of the ME-70 to provide alternative sounds.

Hey man, great stuff. I was just wondering if you experianced any problems with the boss fs-6 connected to the boss me-70? My problem is with the boss fs-6. It won't bank down and it also won't turn on or off the reverb. All settings are correct. When the 1/4 jack is connected to the middle port of the fs-6, the "B" side only works, leaving the "A" side useless. Please help me.

@niniowa20 Yes, of course they are different. A "Stereo" Cable is a TRS Cable meaning: Tip Ring Sleeve a Mono jack is only a TS cable meaning: Tip Sleeve. You need the extra wire going to the "Ring" To effectively use the FS-6. I'm sure you can find a video already uploaded.

@xKyoshu Sorry, but the Jemini does not have a SD-1 inside it, They are similar, but not the same. The Jemini has two different side, 1) The lighter side similar to a SD-1 but more tight. 2) The Heavier side, similar to a MT-2 without the mid contour, and spread out more.

I know you can hold down the delay button for 2 seconds to get to tap mode, so why is there a "tap" mode on the delay dial as well?

Nice all, but one question:

What about the modeling FX, could you use 2 or more MOD fx at same time?

Example: Chrous with some Phaser at the begining of one song and for the end of it, turn on a tremolo for the last riff. Can this machine do that?

I've Checked and you cannot do 2 FX at the same time. You can do delay and an fx, or a delay and also another delay.

this is one is the best processor pedal i've ever used without using an amp head. And it's nor cheap neither expensive. it has a good price. But Me 20 or Me 25 is really  piece of junk, man. (Before, i was used Line 6 POD X3. Pod x3's drive and cabinet models are very good simulated but effect pedals aren't enough for professional recording and "live" performance.)

you've got to learn more about pedals. both those ibanez and boss pedals aren't true bypass and they suck yout tone. the sd1 and ds1 are only good after modding. get some better pedals. your clean tone is good, and it gets worse the more things you turn on. your higher gain tones especially need some work.

yeah i took the audio quality into consideration. which sd1 and ds1 mods do you have. your clean sound is still a lot better than the high gain. i didn't say you need to learn more, i said you should get some better pedals. there are a whole lot of them out there.

A well mate of myn made a boost for me himself might sell thatone sell my ME50 and then buy a ME70

Ojeah one other question, Can i record a part of a song, turn off the loop (keeping the pedal switched on)

And then replay the song when i like it

Example:

I record a chorus when chorus comes up 1st time, end the loop, play the verse and then want the chorus again.

Is this possible?

Nice set up! I have the ME 70 and the FS-5 also but i can't get the fs-5 to turn on my reverb. ( it turns on the preamp) I followed the manual but still nothing. Does yours do this? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

In my opinion, really expensive multi effects that work well such as the me 70 are really great to build from. Then get a noise supressor, i prefer the boss ns-2. then more delay pedals, preferably the dl4. and then, well anything you want to build from then.

I'm curious about the delay performance. How's the delay can it mimic U2 sound?

I got the ME70 about a month ago and it can do the U2 spot on. It has a tap delay for the dotted 8th. This gives you the U2 effect without doing the math. You can also get 2 separate delays working together, which gives you the delays that the Edge got on Joshua with mic placements. I set up the tap to dot 8th and the other delay to a short delay ~60-80 msecs. All in all a great pedal. I use it with a Vox amp, but the amp modeling is great for running straight into a PA with the AC30 modeling.

actually it is, but some of the effects lack a certain depth, that's why I use mine with seperate distortion pedals and a separate wah (ibanez WD 7 weeping demon which is more flexible than the wah on the ME 70) that of course leaves me with the additional option of using the ME 70 as a whammy or volume pedal without having to switch between settings.

I dont like the fact that when you have reverb on it effects everything even your loop, so when you record a loop with no reverb and go to solo over top and turn on reverb it turns the reverb on your entire pedal. (Loop gets reverb to) umm i have never been a fan of the COSM amp models but other than that the Me-70 is BOSS! LOL

I've got a question either for you or the readers, I want to buy a multi-effects pedal but I'm stuck on which one I want to buy I've narrowed down my choices to the Zoom G2 or the Boss ME-70. The Boss ME-70 looks complicated to use but it looks worth trying ti figure everything out, unlike the G2 where it looks simple to use. I've been playing for about 18 months now and I don't have much knowledge on pedalboards.

I've had great experiences with the old Zoom 505 series, and the G2 is no different, except for the space it takes, and the processing time is a bit speedier. Bottom line is, Zoom holds great experimental tones, and the Boss is down to earth. It all depends on what you're after. Would they be standalone or in an effects chain like Trump's? G2 is smaller, but has no expression pedal built on. One runs on batteries, one doesnt. Think about which one will knock out more duties on your pedalboard!
