Your apple picking technique reminds me of a super great task my dad had me do in his 1/4 acre apple orchard: pick all the sticks left behind on the ground after he pruned the trees. There were soo many of them, and of course it was always cold and raining when he made me do it. Another "fun" activity was making cider from the apples with the child-slave-labor powered press. Well, that part wasn't so bad: there is nothing like cider straight from the press :)

well, "Ohrwurm" is an official German word for "catchy tune", but I know only very few people who call the animal "Ohrwurm". I think it has a different name in every German region *g*

I _know_ I'm nerdy, so no need to do any ripping ;) . In that summer there were A LOT of earwigs because of the high humidity and I literally had to share my bed with them... so I made the best out of it and tried to understand the cute fellows a little better ;)
