I'd have to agree, bird shot is for birds. But a first round of number 4 shot in the face would be a great way to say, "Are we learning yet?". I'd definitely want some 00 buck to follow that first round though just in case there is a slow learner in the room with me.

@daltonagre Agreed. In America the areas with the worst crime are also the areas with anti gun laws. And cop cuts as well. Chicago, LA, NYC, D.C.. Soon to change with our recent Sumreme court ruling. Sorryfor you guys there. : (

This is not an attack on the video, rather a bad review of the ammo used. On the target it looks good, but I personally don't think those a good personal defense round. I shot a piece of 1/2 inch think wood with the number 4's shown here, some 6's (birdshot) and buckshot. The number fours didn't penetrate any further than the sixes; however, the buckshoot blew holes through it. As far as I am concerned Federal shouldn't be able to print "personal protection" on that load.

I agree, I carry Federal PP buckshot loads. I did this video in response to some one saying the Judge spreads to quickly to be effective from more than 5 feet. The shots were from 12 feet (personal defense range) just to prove a point.

@bellbw it may not be leathal but shooting someones face off seem like a good way to defend yourself to me
