Agree with your intepretation. They are a great couple. I often feel sad for Kikyo. She is very thoughtful and very caring, but unlike Kagome, she doesn't open herself and show others her real feelings, and that made people misinteprete her and thought she was cold-hearted. Although she attempted to attack Kagome before but she save Inuyasha and the gang several times, especially in movie IV she saved Kagome and just left. Kikyo rocks, but she's also one of the most tragic anime character I noe
