  • My 2 yr old does this exact same thing, but has not been diagnosed yet! Your son is so adorable.

  • How is Hunter doing now? He is adorable :)

  • My son does this, he also spins himself and objects, flaps his hands, rocks and lines things up. He doesn't do the lining up of things as much as he did before he was 2. He'll be 4 in March and still non verbal for the most part. You are fortunate your son can communicate and I agree with so many others here, he is cute as can be.

  • My son Ian visually stims with his autism too. Autism doesn't define our children. They are full of potential! And excell at numerous things. You have a beautiful little boy.

  • someone says give this boy redmeat give that to him will be painful most of us suffer from guts or eyes on fire,he needs white meat fruit veg yes thats true.but thats not the cause of his symtoms.it the way the brain procesess information...jeff...aspie and sienetist radio ham and dyslexic......................

  • So it's been 3+ years. What is the outcome? Is he on the spectrum? My son (who is 3.5) looks so much like your little guy & has made the same facial expressions & eyes many times, but not looking around like that more than a few times. I am noticing my son's lack of eye contact after he's upset & calming down. He is also newly obsessed with DVD's. He carries them around & will look at them over & over. But we did get a car with a DVD player in May. So that is what spurred this on for him.

  • the 2 people that dislike this are buttholes

  • i want an ice pop! they look good.

  • no color in the skin, darkness around eyes and the kid already has craters under his eyes. get rid of the liquid sugar diet, get that kid in the sun/ vitamin D. feed him meat with hi iron (ie rare red meet).

and last of all just say no to processed foods.

  • my son was recently diagnoses with autism and adhd i have noticed him doing things like this with his eyes even when he was little i remember he did something similar to this hmmm i thought recently when he was doing that , it was because of his eyes because we have been doing drops and glasses to help becasue he has ambyopia in one of his eyes, now im think ing maybe its a new stim of his

  • Your son is a beautiful child.

  • He is so cute. I love it. My autistic son has other stims, not hand flapping but whistling and hand gestures. It's not Creepy, thats an outrageously disgusting remark about someone's child.

  • Grow up

  • hm my brother does this sometimes... and other autistic things

  • My son does this.I didn't know what it was until now.He was diagnosed pdd-nos.

  • My kid stopped doing this w/ vision therapy.

Expensive, but he had terrible vision, accuity was okay, vision was terrible.

  • oh he is too cute! I just want to squeeze him!

my son does the same as well.

  • most autistic kids don't like being squeezed

  • its an expression belov...

  • My son does this and I always just thought he was being goofy until we got the diagnosis and now Im seeing so many things Ive missed. Your son is extremely adorable!

  • same here! My son does that with everything, I thought it was just to get a better look. Your son is ridiculously adorable!!!

  • Your son is just gorgeous! So adorable! I love his little voice!

  • hes really really cute!

  • It is an intense experience the first time you see another child do the same stim as your own. Almost as shocking as the diagnosis itself for me. Cute kid, though! "What are you eating?" "Ice Pop" hilarious! :)

  • I do that sometimes as a tic. I can 'feel' it with my eyes so if I'm using a pen, for example, sometimes I need to 'even up' the feeling.

  • My nephew does that exact thing.

I used to do that as well, now I have different visual stims.

But boy, he has no problem chewing it. Makes me cringe, I can't stand chewing cold stuff lol

  • I've never seen this in another child before, to be honest I didn't know it was a form of stimming! I just thought it was one of my little boy's 'quirks'. Your son is just beautiful :) x

  • OMG my son is a visual stimmer too! How old is he now? He is adorable!
