Lavezzi at Napoli is very much tied into the legend of Maradona at Napoli.Right now he's got a great bunch of player who have been built around him, and the team will continue be built around him. It'd be difficult for him to give that up for any other team, let alone Liverpool, which I can't see as being appealing to him in any way.

Also consider that Livepool has always been a powerhouse, whereas Napoli hadn't done a thing until Maradona won them everything in the late eighties. After that it was back to obscurity. So to be part of the squad that is bringing the team back up is a huge deal to the city, and more than most players could hope to experience anywhere! Lavezzi means more to us than our other stars as he's an underdog, like Maradona and like Napoli.
