The only difference is that in the US we don't make people learn standard nor do many people want standard since automatic trans can get you a few extra MPG. Your buddy passes out with an unknown medical condition and the ambulance will never find you off road. Now your buddy could possibly die because you can't drive his car out of the woods or to the hospital. It wouldn't be the first time there was an emergency and a transmission got in the way of getting help.

@Lonsoleil I really dislike most cops because they are too scared to bust meth labs so they do things like... bust grow op's that are for personal use. I did a survey in my class and 58% of the kids admitted to smoking pot within the past 6 months. Notice I said 58% "Admitted" ... So I'm sure more than just those students had done so. Anyway, this is a job that I really respect. I would LOVE to do this when I grow up...

It is becuase in America we have given fewer opportunities to some minority groups, such as African Americas, they have been born into cycles of poverty and ignorance dating back to slavery. In Orange county CA most white people are not criminals, but go to a white trash town in the mid-west and theyre smoking meth and prostituting. It isnt about race.

I'd save the harsher punishments for murderers and such, like the story in Florida where the 15 year old was lead to his death by his own ex girlfriend. Google it if you haven't heard it. It's sick. All 6 participants in his murder should receive the harshest punishment imaginable for sure.
