I have 2 FOB keys that are used instead of a normal car key? None of them do anything. When I try any of them, the only noise the car makes is the beeping sound when the key is inside and the door is opened, no dash board and not even the radio turns on. Haven't tried looking for codes yet. Will let you know.
Am having the same issue. I have a 08 dodge charger 2.7 v6. Battery, starter, checked good. Fuses look good too. Thinking that the starter relay was bad, I swapped it with another one with the same part #. No luck.
@nunez9300 Lots of problems with the SKIM Sentry Key Immobilizer. The first thing you want to try is a spare key. Also check to see if you have any codes, including Body codes. Let me know what happens.
@felipevinalay Usually pin 30 leads to the coil positive. If this is the case for your vehicle, run a jumper from pin 30 to the coil positive terminal, if this works you have a broken wire in between.
I look the diagram and I only have two fuses:# ten and 17, 10A to relay start which pin 30 have voltage, fuse 17 20A its good, to me the problem is between the battery to fuse 17, but there are bunch of wires and that the problem to me.
@felipevinalay That could very well be the problem. Especially seeing they usually go under or near the battery. You didn't say if the fuse had power going to it or not. If it does have power than the problem is from there to the relay.
thank for you response Mark, I removed the ASD relay and pin 30 have no voltage. and I can't locate the splice S116, also I make a mistake the vehicle info: 98 Chrysler Plymouth gran voyager 3.0.
Hi Mark I got a 96 Chrysler Plymouth and it will crank but won't start, I have no spark because the coil power have no volts, well I check fusees en relay, coil power, with a multimeter and all that seen okay, the two coil power cable came from the PCM without volts, do you thing the PCM be bad. I will thank you for any tips. haa this problem happen two days after change the fuel pump.
@felipevinalay I am going to guess you have a Chrysler Intrepid.
1. Remove the Automatic Shutdown (ASD) Relay from the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and check for battery voltage on pin 30. To properly check for a voltage drop, a current needs to flow through the circuit being checked. Use an old headlight to see if pin 30 of the ASD Relay will illuminate the headlight bulb. Check all branches of the A14 circuit, Red/White wire, with the headlight bulb.
2. If any one or more branches of the A14 circuit do not illuminate the headlight, check splice S116 in the main harness near the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The A14 circuit feeds the ASD Relay, the Transmission Shutdown Relay, pin 56 of the TCM, and pin 46 of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
@claroscuro73 Thank you for watching the video. I will be happy to help you with any problems pertaining to vehicle electronics, however I do not have information on a water pump replacement. May I suggest contacting a water pump or cooling system manufacturer.
As always, an excellent explanation of the video topic. If you could put out video's a little more often, this would be one of if not the best auto repair channel on YouTube.
@dmorley100 Thank you for the kind words. They really do mean a lot to me. I will see what I can do to produce more videos. It takes an unbelievable amount of time. We work on these videos between tech line assistance calls, usually doesn't leave much time. Thanks again
@1PossumJenkins I am happy you brought this up. As I was building the video I tried to do both. I hope you were able to see enough to understand the lesson. I have the believe that when someone is entertained while being trained eyes, ears and minds open. Finding the right balance can be a real challenge.
@americantractors Thanks for the kind words. I see you have been doing some great stuff too. I really did have fun with this one. I am always working on videos between calls on the tech line. I wish I had more time to put into the videos.

@felipevinalay
Potential Causes:
Splice S116
Tech Tips:
Splice S116 is located near the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in the main wiring harness and just below the windshield washer reservoir.
Let me know how it is going,
