  • Faut avoir rien à faire mais... MALAAADE!!

  • listened to the video????

  • Has Hell lmao :D

  • "fast has hell"...........

  • MS-DOS is betttter than all operating system such as windows 7,8 and mac osx lion!

  • 2035. A new field of science: software archaeology.

  • Use Windows 9x with 98lite then... ;)

  • @urutora82 I agree with you :D

  • "Fast has hell" it's mega lol

  • you should try out my computer (I'm on Android)

  • So?

  • You should install win3.1 on it! lol

  • I run windows 95 on my M4 Crucial SSD with an overclocked quad core cpu (@4GHZ).

  • @kledder2 why?

  • i thought windows 98 was old, lol i still have 98 boot cd. im running windows 7 though.

  • Well windows7 Boots faster for me.

  • @EdubSi

and you can´t do nthg.. You only see desktop, but windows is still loading and that will make stupid people think it´s fast, lol

  • @1rkken i am not sure, whether you called me stupid or not. But i can tell you i can have windows boot faster than that and running all my Programs i want to use faster than win95 boots on this 2ghz computer. Shall it bother me that windows is still working in the background on some other programs if i can use my computer as expected? I do not bother.

  • Better than Vista :P

  • But why is it so exciting? There is nothing new or revolutionary in installing win95 on a modern PC...The problem arises when it comes to drivers. Try installing win95 with audio, video, opengl etc. That is something, because then you can use it to play old games :D

  • "You have moved your cursor. Please reboot your computer."

  • Anyone notice that the windows progress bar appeared to move backwards?

  • You click, window opens.... yeahh... i just post this and install win 95 again...

  • @MegaDamnAge For Those About To Rock

  • Comment removed

  • What is this AC / DC album?

  • my toshiba Satellite Pro with 933Mhz and Windows98 starts USB drives faster then my high tech over the top brand new PC with Windows 7.

  • hablas español?

  • try XP better

  • lol i put my procceser and hard drive in my windows 2000. it was 3.2 ghz and ad 5 gb ram untill it broke down lol it was toooooooooo much for it

  • Faster than Vista!

  • Now do it with QDOS

  • Use FIX95CPU to fix windows protection error

  • I put windows 3.11 WFW on a 3.2 GHz processor and 3 gigs of ram machine with a 500 gigabyte HDD ._.

  • LOL WINDOWS 95 ON i7-3960x

  • try windows 3.1

  • fasst schneller wie win 7

und noch ne frage wie heisst des lied

  • @iphonejaner for those about to rock von AC/DC !!!

  • what? safemode 95?

  • i think MS-DOS is better than all OS such as Windows 7 and Mac OSX!

  • @FilipinorenderHD No, these days they SUCK. Since they are so old they can't handle much. For old pc's they are good but if you want a faster one get a Win XP or Win7 for gaming

  • @TheDeadNames no i am using windows 8 but still MS-DOS is da best!

  • @FilipinorenderHD Windows 8 sucks. It requires too much of your ram and graphics card

  • @TheDeadNames vista and 7 are the same way.

  • @LordMMX66MHz No, Vista might be bad but Win 7 is the best OS for gaming because it can handle more memory and things like that

  • @TheDeadNames still don't like it, and i don't really game that much. besides ps3 or xbox 360 can do that?

  • @LordMMX66MHz I've got an Xbox but in my opinion, gaming is 10x more fun on the pc

  • @TheDeadNames that maybe true, but i been playing on sony consoles for years. so it's

hard to change may gaming tactics.

  • @LordMMX66MHz Er, no they're not. Chalk and cheese my friend!

  • Same as my Mac...

  • why will the video be fake? windows 95 was optimized for a minimum requirement of 8mb ram and a 486 pc... anyone related to technology can simulate that boot in his own mind with the specs of your pc -________-"

  • try Windows 98 on an i7 intel

  • where do i get one

  • I boot faster currently on my machine with an SSD on Win7. No big deal anymore.

  • For Those About To Rock- AC/DC !!!!!!!!! =P

  • I had to give up using Win98SE when I've bought a Centrino laptop - Win98 doesn't boot on Pentium M CPUs (big memory is not a problem: 768 MB is safe and more can be made working) normally, but works in Safe Mode, but Safe Mode - is not an acceptable solution.

  • Running in safe mode is not an achievement. If you could make it work in normal mode, with graphics drivers functioning (full resolution, 32-bit "true colour") - I'd say you're cool. Using FAT16 doesn't make sense at all - not one was using original Windows 95 after OSR 2 arrived (with lots of bugs fixed, FAT32 and USB support added), the same story with Windows 98 - not a masochist would use original Win98 when there is massively fixed Second Edition.

  • LOL I had my HP WIN95 computer for 10 yrs before I bought a new computer with HP XP (still using it as my desktop for 7 yrs.) I've had a Toshiba Vista laptop which only lasted 3 yrs. and bought a laptop with HP WIN7 11 mos. ago. HP is a great computer. Hubby uses the XP. Too slow for me. Weird seeing 95.

  • My MacBook boots up faster than that.

  • @fearlessz000 your an idiot , you dont understand shit what this vid is about. The operating system is not build for such powerful computers and only supports 480 MB of RAM . The operating system was made for computers in the 90s .

    so stfu mac-fag

  • @Filo127 Really? Getting that defensive over what was supposed to be a joke? Grow up.

  • @fearlessz000 My PC boots faster than your macbook.

  • I love your laptop! I had a Compac desktop 95 conputer before. Really nice thing I had but it had a viuer that made it turn on when you did't want it to. LOL

    I love windows 95! :D

  • @mraiwa1000 But I'm sad that it's gone. :(

  • I watched the whole of this vid on my laptop while I waited for my desktop's bios screen to finish. LOL!

  • lol.. I wonder if I can install 95 on my intel i7 8gb of ram..

  • @pancakewafflebacon Try to do it and take a video lol

  • Use XP x64 its much faster than Win 7 in 2d and in games with 3D.

  • There is a fix for this problem

    Google it

  • Get a SSD harddrive, and your Windows 7 will run just as fast.

  • I can understand French...

  • This is kinda like using any linux on any computer, if you dont overpower it with overloaded software. Let me tell you how fast FVWM1 runs on a 3Ghz Core i960.

  • My old PC was a 2GHz with Win 95 on it. What's the problem?

Note: When I added a bigger disk I had to upgrade to Win 98 or it couldn't read it all.

  • AMAZING!!!!!! OVER NINE TOUSAND TIMES FASTER!!

  • you can do the same things using windows 95 and 7.

ms likes to put some saturated fat on their OS to make you buy a new computer.

  • @SuperBsht not even close other then basic features of any OS which remain the same doesn't matter what platform

  • Whoa! Fsck'n nice!

Have you ever tried to run with win98 too?

  • funny thing is.. puppy linux has so much more features looks better and as fast

  • fast has hell ?

    and what does heaven have?

  • @Batner112 Slow.

  • @Batner112 You mean, "what does slow have".

  • @Batner112

fast as your momma whe she sucks my lil dicko

  • @Batner112 apple computers

  • @Batner112 slow as heaven.

  • @Batner112 solw as dial-up

  • @Batner112 Amish technology.

  • Nice typos..

  • Windows 1 sur un core i7 cez serait pas mal aussi MDR.

Sinon ouai ça valait le coup d'essayer.

  • ha! im about to put windows 3.1 on intel pentium 4 ht (3.06 ghz)

  • Nice one, reminds me of the time i tried the exact opposite and booted win '95 on it's minimum requirements using a 16Mhz 386 with all 4 memory banks filled with 1MB SIMM'S to get the 4MB needed. I had to manually input the hdd and was able to get 530mb out of my 750mb hdd, the maximum the old bios would allow. i was able to instal the os and after doing so i timed a boot.. it took 64 seconds from power-on to pushing te start button :)

  • What about my computer, with 3.46 GHz dual core processor GeForce 900 MX with 1536 Megabytes of RAM with a 2 TB HDD with 2 monitors?

  • @KimChoJapFan Windows 95 will run if you mod the system.ini file.

  • Get a 3960x with an HD6990, and try Windows 95 on it

  • At my school, they have the worlds worst computer running on XP...

No wonder why half of them are busted.

  • @killer2droids Which is the worlds worst computer? It is if it has XP on it. :D

  • Fast has hell... I lol'd

  • what about dos 1.00 on your core 2 quad?

  • Want speed? tomsrtbt disk on core I7

  • Windows 95 is now rare? SWEET! I Still have one :D

  • FAST HAS HELL

  • WELCOME TO 70's video :P

  • I have a feeling no one will ask....

  • My old computer-1,6Ghz and 512 RAM runs with windows XP verry good

check out your RAM... its maby defect :D

  • Win 95 may not support any cpu that is higher than 1ghz or 800mhz

  • @EEEE1110lol

There's a patch to get WIndows 95 to behave with any processor above 366Mhz, but you need to underclock your processor to boot it first, then you can install the patch.

  • @EEEE1110lol I'f you have more than 2,10 GHz, then Windows 95 - ME would not Boot up.

  • The reason why you couldn't start it in "real" mode or native is more than likely the drivers pertaining to either the mainboard or you hdd controller...

  • ummm windows 95 has run on my grandpa's laptop (compaq aramda) with an intel pentium 2 @400mhz

  • FAT 16 LOL!!!

  • Hell, Windows 3.1 will boot on a 2Ghz processor, however, there maybe a driver issue.

  • When i was 4 years old i had the same background!

  • Thumbs up so everyone see This:

Windows 95 - Windows ME will only can be Bootable i'f you have 2,10 GHz Processor, i'f you have 2,20 GHz Windows 95 or ME won't work, and you need to edit something in system.ini, to make Boot Windows 95 with 2 GB

  • fast 'has" hell ? you mean fast as hell :P

  • Lotsa startup errors. Looks like Windows is working as it should!

  • @GuyWithGuitars1 windows 7 here. no virus. no errors. no problems. keep buying your 3000dollar macs

  • @pierreo33 I sure will!

  • @GuyWithGuitars1 Mindless sheep. Buying stuff that are shiny and hip but instead three times the cost of an equally good PC.

  • @pierreo33 So, with the Mac only having about 15% of the market, wouldn't that suggest that -you're- the mindless sheep? I don't follow trends. I use the good stuff. Try it, you'll like it.

  • Windows salute Mac

  • lets put that on mine amd bulldozer 8core @ 4,8ghz

  • @johannes19969 Yeah that AMD that isn't faster then an intel quad core lol.it will only use 1 core so you'll be slower then almost anything else.

  • @CobraProductionsTV yeah but 4.8ghz ;)

  • You want to install OSR2.5, which has P6 Support. Then It can run without safe mode. OSR2.5 ALSO has USB support, and FAT32 support.

  • Let's put that on my 4x 4, 46 Ghz Core i7

  • Yea ok so its unusable. Safe mode doesn't load any 3rd party drivers and a lot of services.. so naturaly it boots faster. But judging from the first screen, it takes just as long to boot as windows 7 on my new machine.

  • Yet, probably struggles on solitaire.

  • next video: Windows 3.11 @ i5

  • get a life dude!!!!!!

  • y would you waste a 2GHZ processor on windows 95

  • Will it run on a core i7?

  • MS-DOS is bettttter than all os such as windows 7 and mac osx!

  • @TheIcecreambangbang windows 7 still runs ms-dos anyway msdos is not a system

  • @TheIcecreambangbang no, unix is

  • @TheIcecreambangbang

Yea, you go try writing that comment on a system running MS-Dos, :)

  • @ZidZabre i love to command dude and by the way, theres a internet on the MS Dos called arachne browser the graphical browser :)

  • @TheIcecreambangbang Actually, it is.

  • @TheIcecreambangbang Gee, I don't know. Im running 10.7.2 Lion and its pretty slick..lol but DOS is always a good throwback

  • @deltaflyer1997 you mean sick

  • @TheIcecreambangbang Nah Win95 will not beat WinXP, but easily beat Win7. But Ubuntu Oneiric beats WinXP.

  • @TheIcecreambangbang You are forgetting linux... :P

  • @TheIcecreambangbang in dreamland buddy

  • Weak, Windows 3.1 is better.

  • @Raptorel windows 3.1 sucks theres nothing to do on it

  • @limneosgreen

Someone has no fucking taste =/

  • I think it generates that protection error because modern CPUs are just too fast for some of the software routines in Win95. I remember people having trouble when they upgraded old Win95 machines to the AMD K6-2 back in the day, and Microsoft had to issue a patch for it. If you locate that patch and install it, you might get it to boot in regular mode.

  • @derkommissar1917 It displays that error because Windows 95 doesn't know how to address more than 512mb of RAM (if the guy has more than that installed). I tried the same thing with about 2gb of ram and I kept getting an "Unable to start windows. Quit one or more memory resident programs or remove unnecessary utilities from config.sys or autoexec.bat, and restart your computer " message. I reduced the amount of RAM to 512mb, and it booted up.

  • Very interesting and informative . I just bought a brand new laptop for $550 and found out that the Windows 7 computor can't connect to the internet / Wi-Fi modem which was put there in 2006 . I shall buy another HDD for it and use good old XP ......... When you're on a good thing , stick to it .

  • AC/DC ???

  • Ah-yes, the old question:

"What if the hardware was updated, but not the software?"

Often I have heard of what results came from experiments of design such as this... from games being easier to play, since now thw character's response to inputs were sharper, to flat-out instant "Game Over" upon moment of game-start because of processor clock-speed affecting the rate of action in the game.

I have a 286 w/windows 3.1 in my collection... I wonder how that would operate in something dual-core???

  • Thumbs up if you muted

  • @ItisShe Yeah I did. I muted you and thumbed you down.

  • i want to try this on my Core i7 2600k, with 1, 512mb of DDR3 1600 ram lol. i wonder how little amount of time it would take to install it. lol

  • Were these specs supposed to be good when the vid was made?

  • remember the time when windows 95 was brand fuckin new? pepperidge farm remembers.

  • This is easy. Now make it run Crysis!

  • I dare you to take an i7 to work with windows 3.0

  • @9mvp9 Windows 1.0 on itanium?

  • Dude is running it on a machine one hundred times the original requirements. 20MHz -> 2GHz CPU, 10MB -> 1GB RAM, etc.

  • Apparently fast has hell?

  • @TrueSkyl1n3 Yep. Better than Vista.

  • @kurrator1 I feel like installing Windows 98 on my 2nd Gen i7 just for nostalgia. :)

  • Now play Doom 3.

  • I miss 95

  • Windows 95 is now available in museums

  • @kingddd333: you suck

  • my pc boots faster

  • Comment removed

  • Try it with linux! .....

  • French People Suck

  • Maybe some apple mac whatever would be ok but nothing works on them... Dunno how "insert and play" some newgame or mmorpg or so works on macbook, win 7 crashed during year: zerotimes

    AMD phenomenom, ddr3 4g+, Hawk gtx 470, sata 3/2 drives + allkindshit.

Take your cock in hand, then goto daybar* and youll have a sperms splashes to all holes =[) <--- jew smiley

  • is it compatible with FAT32 or NTSF? or just for FAT16?

  • now try 3.11 :p

  • definetly putting it on my quad

  • @msimec

I dont know if it supports more than one core....

  • @pioneerz450

    ur right =/

  • I'd say wack an i7, 12GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 590 SLI, 200GB SSD in there.

  • Actually I do run windows 98 OSR2 on my pentium D 64-bit. However I have bootgui set to zero, bringing me directly into the equivalent of DOS7. This is so I can print directly from WordPerfect 5.1 and get true letter quality the way it's supposed to be. microsoft claimed there was no DOS in windows 95 or 98 -- they were lying. You just need to edit a text file and you'll have direct access.

  • @cb5705cb5705 "no dos in windows 95 or 98" Windows has always been a graphical shell around DOS.

  • @levo75 You've bought microsoft' lies. Change file msdos.sys in root directory to unhidden and turn off Read Only and System attributes. Open with notepad or any text editor. Change line "BootGUI=1" to "BootGUI=0". You'll get the splash screen then go directly into DOS 7.

  • so my question is can you run it in normal mode without windows protection error and if yes then how?
