i know when they make a movie out of a book they strive for different things but it just..bothers me. What iw isht hey would do is say its based off the book or uses the books characters or something because when they use the book name it turns out to be a dissappointment. I dont want to look at it and for a moment to expect the book.
I totally disagree with you. althought i liked the book better than the movie, the movie scaled way up in my likes chart. and i totally imagined rachel and eric and clare and henry. i hav no idea what you are talking about
I completely agree about Rachel McAdams - I personally don't think she is Claire at all. But then, when I was reading the book, I couldn't imagine anyone as Claire - she was an entity in herself without being played by someone. But I would never have said Rachel McAdams.
@proudveggie i totally agree. rachel mcadams is not claire. though i think this whole book is one of those that cant be make into movie. the way harry dissapears was pictured totally different in my head... and the story itself. hollywood just buys everything.
Both the movie and the book were great in their own ways. If you read the book and expect the movie to be exactly the same, of course you'll be disappointed. The book, to me, was very dark. I read it after seeing (and falling in love with) the film. The movie had so much more of a happy-go-lucky sort of "love will always prevail" feeling to it.
I think they should be weighed differently because they both strive for different moods. So many things are different. Even characters' personalities.
Creepy? Well then you must see that in the book as well -_- I personally don't agree....at all!

Eric Bana was closer to the Henry in my head.
