Because she was the last performer, so people remembered her the most, regardless of the recap, and because sang a song that was more popular than the other songs. Doesn't mean she sang it well.

And just because Tori got sent back to the couch before Chantel doesn't necessarily mean Chantel got more votes that week. It could have been done for suspense. Taylor and Tori probably had a one-two finish. Tori was the 2nd girl to enter the group too...so yeah.
