Hi Amyjune, Have U read the book ''Fire in a Cranebrake''? It's an interesting story of Monroe, GA circa 1925 - 1946. This book is one of the reasons I don't need to read works of fiction- cuz true sagas are so much more interesting.

This was so wrong, they should've been killed by electric chair instead, just as white men were back then....of course, I don't know if that would've been that much more humane. What is interesting is all the sympathy these "victims" have received over the years, yet no one even remembers the name of the young man they murdered in front of his girlfriend while they were out on a date, or the murdered boy's girlfriend whom they brutally gang-raped...laughing and mocking her all the while.

And how many innocent white people have been murdered by blacks over the last forty years, since they were granted their "civil rights"? Probably tens of thousands. And how many white women raped by black men in that time? Tens of thousands more. This is just propaganda. Lynching kept the blacks from doing more violence against whites. It was a deterent. Jail is little deterent to black crime. They have no shame. To be jailed is a badge of honor for blacks.

From your reply, you seem like a good person. Please do not interpret my comments as applying to ALL black people. But, the fact must be faced: Blacks have a disfunctional culture. One made worse over recent decades by bleeding hearts teaching them to hate whites and excuse their behavior. That is generally my point. I was guilty of a little hyperbole in my remarks, but after being constantly hearing how we owe blacks, I am tired of it. Again, no personal offense intended. Peace.

Another example of blacks wanting to get more concessions out of white people. What they don't bring up is that lynching served a useful purpose: It kept the blacks in their place, and kept them from attacking white people. Since we gave them civil rights 90% of victims of interracial violence have been white. The more we do to help blavks, the more they demand.

I don't understand the fixation to assign lynching as strictly racist act, I believe 1 in 4 people strung up were white!

If crime patterns of today are similar to back then (blacks are 7x as likely to kill as whites) that 1 in 4 ratio seems about right.

If three men (of any color) were to rape a 12 yr old girl today and then the family shot them most people would have little pity for the men

but for some reason if you talk about this same thing happening 50 yrs ago, those who raped the girl are looked at as victims.... forgetting the FIRST victim that was raped.

I will also add, anyone who lynches an innocent person should himself swing from a rope.
