you also gotta figure too that some people go by record above talent which is dumb. sometimes getting those easy wins gets a teams confidence up which can get them a playoff birth. EX: the Jets 2 seasons ago. they had a cakewalk schedule and slept their way into the playoffs. The Bills may be a top 5 team later in the season if they truly believe in their team and when you win you believe, even if its against the weak opponents that you have mentioned. playing easy teams results in easy wins.
I love the Steelers but have they really proven to anyone that they can hang with the Big Boys in the NFL.. I'm not really sold on their young Coach and I wasn't from the start. Sometimes teams have such tough schedules that they may even be 3 games behind in the win column from a team that they are much better then. EX:the Jets may have a better record than your Steelers because you face the entire NFC East, San Diego, Jacksonville, Indy, and the Pats (although the Jets play them twice). The Jets have a much easier schedule and may have a better chance at a Wildcard. tho PIT will win DIV.

I also like the Eagels but after their second lost and to the Bears!!!They had to fall out of the top 5. Love that defense though. Just ask Big Ben how tough it is!!!!
