As Japanese as this level looks, this is a Marvel level. It is the 'base' of the organization known as the Hand (hence the name) which Elektra worked for. So it is a Daredevil stage, sort of. Capcom must have chosen this level because it was an oriental location within the Marvel universe instead of NY, NY, NY all the time.

Character themes are mostly for fanservice. For stage music they work more freely.

Probably because of all the character themes we heard, you probably figured they'd give no effort to the character stage.
