Since the franchises got Rebooted, that makes a sequel HIGHLY unlikely to almost impossible. The James Bond movies didn't get rebooted until Casinso Royale. Back then, they were just sequels, even though the actor for Bond changed over time. That's why Connery was allowed to come back.

Honestly though, it's probably for the best. Freddy vs Jason was enough. There doesn't need to be a second one.
