@skateboardboy2000 Sounds like you missed one of the connection that went to the camera. Go back and check your connections. Most of the time that will fix the issue.

Just wanted to say thanks for making this, it identified for me exactly what I needed to do with 2 iphones I had, 1 with a good bat, one with a good screen. Swapped parts around and now it turns on and works! Thanks so much!

@cmelan Hope this does not sounds like I am avoiding the question but truth is it is will depend on a bunch of factors. The list is long but a few are how much you use it, do you keep the wifi on, bluetooth on, run on 3G vs Edge, surf the internet a lot, use apps that require data being pulled in all the time.. it goes on and on.

This video was a huge help, thanks! My bros iphone 3gs was stuck on the time wheel and his power button is broken. We were gonna wait for the battery to run dead but we did this instead. It restarted fine and then the battery died.

@cowchip75 Not 100% sure what you are asking. You can sometimes get away with the tape that is left from when you remove it but if not use some double sided tape to hold it down.

My friend and I had the same propblem with our phones locking up after a phone call. Mine's unlocked so Apple didn't want to even look at it, but they told her that there wasn't a problem when clearly there was a problem! Another friend said it was the battery.

Apple didn't want to solve my problem under apple care, They should call it Apple Cares Less!

Anyway, you jailbreak and you unlock -> that means you're stealing from Apple and the Service provider (AT&T, Verizon, whatever). Simple as that. That's why they don't want to look at it. If i were to take my MacBook for servicing and they were to find all the unlicensed SW I use, I bet I'd be in a bit of a jam... :).

@retroretch The battery is not soldered in the iPhone 3G, 3GS or iPhone 4. The only model of iPhone that had a soldered battery if the original iPhone aka iPhone 2G.
