"Klang" is a masterpiece, plain and simple. You have to listen to it closely and a couple of times, after that I simply don't know how anybody could not see its greatness. "Klang" has a manic genius desperation about it, the words are so inspired and the music is equally inspired as well. An orgy of ideas coming out of the band. They made their statement, their masterpiece.

The critics weren't crazy about it and the public did not care much, then they broke off. The world is SO unfair...

Michael Jackson probably changed music back in the day,but it was over the top when he became white and invited kids to come and sleep with him...Oasis on the other hand changed music forever,many bands have taken inspiration from them.Without them there wouldn't be as many good bands as there are today (including the Rakes).So yes, in my opinion Oasis were definitely a bigger loss than Michael Jackson.And I think any rock fan would agree.

Well in saying this I probably will be addicted in a while. The greatest quality of the Rakes is that they dont seem to try so hard to please which cannot be said for:Franz Ferdinand, The Rifles, The Enemy, The View, The Fratellis, Keane, The Killers and last but not least Coldplay(who only sold out when they realised how big they where going to become)
