  • @inkie1010 Wow I wanna know! how did u ask him? did u just ask him if u could play for him? lol i wish i can even meet him

  • I like it :-)

  • Guitars don't come with a "Rule Book".....

    Shallow, small minded people do....

    Well done...

  • That was beautiful! Congrats on all your practice. It sure paid off.

    Thanks for sharing this moment.

    Tim

  • @chessdude67 Thanks Tim! :)

  • lucky you:)

  • keep at it. You're good. Tommy is typical of great people - they show patience and humility. The mediocre can never achieve this

  • Very relaxing music. nice playing!

  • Beautiful.

  • Oh... really nice Song

I want to learn this song.

  • @Skrimland Thank you!

  • Wow, impressive. You're lucky to be able to play in front of a legend like Tommy... you must be gutsy too... haha

  • @yeti60 It was a great experience!

  • @inkie1010 great tune. am totally jealous you got to play for Tommy! love the open D sound.

  • @skrys81 Thank you!! :)

  • really beautiful :) love the melody. any chance u want to tab it? hows ur tuning?

  • @senex3 by the sounds of it i think its DADGAD tuning

  • @oglethorp45 It's DADFisAD :)

  • @senex3 I did not tab it, though I am planning to do so, but I just have to find some time :) Tuning is DADFisAD

  • @inkie1010

its called open D tunning :)

  • Such a lovely song.

  • tommy was not bored.. a musician never feels bored when listening a beautiful music..

  • a piano version would be perfect

  • he looks bored xD

  • Another great one!

  • Get off her, guys, dammit... She plays HER style, HER song and she does it good. Just close your eyes, turn off technical knowledge and listen. That's what listening to music is all about. Yes, use brain when you learn on your own, but use your heart during recieving the notes.

And fun fact: I play in standard E/drop D only, quite a few years already... And I am not advanced enough to try open tunings. It is not a tool for complete beginners, isn't it?

To you, inkie1010, good job. Seriously. :*

  • @OzzieZombie Thanks for your kind words!!

  • Your song is beautiful! I really like alternate tunings! They open up a whole new world of guitar joy! I wish Tommy would use them! What tuning is it??

  • The song is really beautiful. When I listened to this song I thought of driving car on high way at the high speed and this picture in my mind has a sunse on a background. So nice and heart touching. whose song is it? is it your own composition?

  • @Kirillkasheva Thank you very much for your nice comment! The song is my own composition :)

  • I shouldn't have said that. It is a nice song....and Tommy sat through the whole thing. Lucky girl.

  • @CanadaGuy80 Thanks, but if you watch my other videos you will see that I can also play in standard tuning, this tuning just suited my song the best... music is feeling, and I don't care if the music is easy or hard to play, that is not even important...

  • @inkie1010 Not important? Of course it is. Yes part of music is about having fun and feeling, however, it is also about building skill, practice and hard work. For example.....if you play easy pieces all the time, it will delay your growth as a guitar player. Any professional musician will tell you that music is not all about romance and feeling. It’s a skill set that requires hours, years of rigorous effort. I did check out your other vids and I agree, you play well.

  • @CanadaGuy80

Do never forget that technique in music is always a means, not a goal in it selves, as it is in all art forms.

Technique is interesting, but music is about emotion and feeling.

And by the way, Why would you criticize Inge's technique if there are numerous (technically) great pieces on her channel.

  • @JK60651 If you read further into my comments, you will see that I did comment on some of her technical pieces. It is very difficult to play with emotion and feeling without having mastered the technical side. Yes players like Tommy would say guitar is about feeling and that's because he has mastered the guitar.

  • @JK60651 Painting for example. A beginner painter should not learn to paint in an abstract style. Why? Because they need to master how to paint physical form first. THey would be skipping essential steps. I see a lot of beginner guitar players playing songs in open chords. They are skipping essential steps...cutting corners because it seems easier! But then someone like you comes along and says it's ok because music it's about emotions..lol.

  • @CanadaGuy80 I hope you are getting rammed by a black dildo right now...

  • @CanadaGuy80 Can't be any worse than misspelling the word tuning.

  • Comment removed

  • @h2olacky You won’t grow as a solo guitarist by playing in open chord tunings. Do you ever see Tommy playing in anything other than standard or drop D? Beginner guitar players like to play in open chord tunings because it’s 10 times easier and makes them sound more advanced than they really are. I’m giving my honest critique. Pointing out a spelling error doesn’t discredit my comment because it has nothing to do with music. Pathetic if you ask me.

  • @CanadaGuy80 You discredit your own comment when referring to playing music a certain way as "cheating". Pretty sure she is not trying to sound more advanced than she really is. Maybe she is a beginner, and maybe she does tune it that way because it is easier for her, like you said. Nothing wrong with that by me. I would agree that it is almost essential to play in standard tuning to become a good guitarist, but she is playing for Tommy Emmanuel, pretty sure she is on the right track...

  • @h2olacky I agree a beginner guitarist should learn to play in standard tuning atleast in part, I don't think you meant anything bad by it after reading the your second post.

  • @CanadaGuy80 I've seen Tommy play in open chord tuning multiple times. As a matter of fact there's a video on here somehwere where he does it, I think it might have been when he was playing Amazing Grace.

  • @CanadaGuy80 Why is this cheating, music is about feeling, not about how difficult it is to play.... sigh..

  • @CanadaGuy80 Get a life.

  • @CanadaGuy80 Get a life.

  • I can tell he is so into it too. nice job!
