  • is that Bob Odenkirk at 1:26??

  • It's like in all these videos now -- they just get a couple weird dudes and just shake the camera and just do a bunch of crap uhuhuhuh

  • Stranger: And another point for the Yay! - I enjoyed it

    You: I'm glad. :)

You: Second random question: what's your favorite band?

    Stranger: Archers of Loaf

    You: What genre are they?

    Stranger: Awesome

    You: Oh wow

    You: Lol

Stranger: All my favourite music falls in that genre.

Stranger, if you see this, you brought me here. :)

  • over 100,00 views!! go archers!

  • I can't stop listening to this song, I'm already addicted... I couldn't even sleep last night as my brain was working on it non stop. "All I ever wanted was to be your spine"!

Totally addicted, I even sing it out loud in the shower! Hello from Brazil!!!

  • whats a noughties?

  • Every good band from the noughties seems to be trying to be a better band from the nineties.

  • best song ever written

  • The song that makes no sence but really does in a weird way :)

  • This song should be longer =(

  • emozione

  • Haha! Sooo awkward. I LOVE IT!

  • such an underrated track...

  • long live archers of loaf!

  • officially the most randomest music video ill ever see in my life

  • i think this was the first video that ever showed the cabbage patch dance

  • @helanilosy

asian wives should learn proper grammar

  • I used to see this video back in the day on Beavis and Butthead. I would always hope to see this video. I can't remember which episode it was on. Middle School would not have been complete with out Beavis and Butthead and this era of MTV videos. It really was a great time for music and for videos. I miss those days!

  • 1:34 - 1:44 = one of the most EPIC moments in the entire music video history

  • @leandrobolotah Totally agree! EPIC!

  • great song, haven't heard it in years and it is still fabulous

  • ha i remember seeing this on bevis and butthead

  • 0:17-0:18 pigs getting laid.

  • This song is seriously fucking great

  • '90s or not, I'm still catching up on Archers of Loaf records. I can count on one hand the bands today I'm 100% invested in today. This is music that is quirky, fun, honest, and cathartic.

Alternative/Indie in the 2000s and beyond seems preoccupied with style, looks, and fashion. There may be good music being released today, but very little as honest and uncaring about critics as Archers of Loaf.

  • @UserNameComplex id recommend kevin devine

  • this so makes me miss the 90s, getting wasted w/ friends and playing icky mettle on repeat, thanks loafs, you are timelessly awesome.

  • @nancyanny 90's pre internet great time but not interweb

  • this video makes no sense BUT yet its still awesome haha

  • problem is, every time I listen to Icky Mettle, it takes five or six goes to get past this. Daydream Nation syndrome, yeah?

  • @AuthenticCelestial i am exactly the same way

  • awesome song =]

  • This is so 90s. It is still great.

  • ahhh... nothing like a 90s music video. I love this song

  • This video gives me nightmares, but this song is undeniable.

  • @millencolin838 Check out Suavekitty's video of this here on youtube.. much better.

  • @theprocess04 ... pity you weren't.

  • @theprocess04 you suck arse

  • Ikilllittlegirls is a great tag!!!!! and this is a great band...bachmanns a fckin genius.....check out acoustic version if you havnt....

  • this is a weird music video

  • when i clicked on this video i thought it had 5 million views and i was like O_o. it should though, obviously

  • \What does he wear? Death wears blue panties. (as a matter of factly) it's the cliche, of the generation, it's the cliche of the century, though, thanks Matt, the end.

  • @cultrapture

A play by Icky Mettle. I'm not sure. There's no longevity in rock n roll. It's the junk they sell that has no flavor. It's the junk they sell at the antique auction.

  • Awesome song and awesome video.

  • Cool lofi ness! Weird name though.

  • I'm so down with this song,

It reminds me of how cursive use to be but with better vocals haha

  • just had a flashback to 1997

  • Heard this on the Mallrats sntrk, love it still.

  • hearts

  • Awesome song.. even in the new millenium.

  • Ah love this song man

  • FFA -4- Life

  • What a song!

  • Got to say it again. Road Fools

  • @ElJefe14221

YES, i was wondering where i heard this song for the first time.

  • hell yeah man Props BMX

  • @gonzisonsbc

Unless Props put two Archers of Loaf songs on their videos, I think the song you're thinking of is called 'Backwash'. That was definitely on a BMX vid a while ago.

You can hear it on YouTube.

  • @BPL1980 it was on best of road fools 1-4!

  • @davedylan22

Which one, 'Web in Front' or 'Backwash'?

  • this song is the bestest!

  • nah it's much betterer than that

  • lol at the piggys.

  • this album is so good

  • all i ever wanted was two BBB your spine<3 mm

  • dobtoronto? I don't understand why the hell you're here then.

Seriously.. no one's making you listen to it man. Everyone likes different music.

  • My friend's status told everyone to listen to Archers

  • that doesn't mean you have to.

You don't need to put down people's musical choices just because you don't agree with the respective merit of the band or song.

  • Okay InWant. I happen to love the new Miley song. Honest. Everyone likes music. Let's have a happy day.

  • This is my first time listening to this band, great stuff! Reminds me a lot of Pavement which is definitely a good thing.

  • if I taught a class on song writing, this would be my example

  • this song = timeless.

  • @whoppernomeat Fuck the noughties give me the 90's every time

  • i loveeeeeee thiiisssss fuccckin songggggggggggggggggggggg its ssooooo amazing and i love the lyrics the tone everythingggg

  • The guitarist is my second cousin, he was over here today and played a bit for me.

  • what tuning does he use in this somg? :)

  • there is such thing as orgainized dissonance. great band, great song.

  • is that little guy in the band

  • You're not the one who let me down.

    But thanks for offering.

  • ROAD FOOLS Video YO

  • thats where i heard this for the first time. hahaha back in the in 90's.

  • this band was ahead of their time

  • modmartha please refrain from such ignorant critiques, this band was around probably before you were born and you're most likely suckled upon the teat of protools and Gen Y techno-isms...go and study "avante gard" and D.I.Y. when you are educated you may make a proper criticism...now brush your teeth and go to bed child.

  • I think the Archers probably had the best musicianship out of all the 90s rockers. Plus, you seem to mainly appreciate music from the 60s and 70s.

  • Definitely not sloppy. This is a very structured pop song. And the tones of each instrument including the voice are incredible.

  • true

  • a classic! still listening to that song every week!

  • this song just explains my life in 2 minutes....

  • "You're not the one who let me down, but thanks for offering." <-- quite possibly the best lyric ever written.

  • One of the best lines out there, yes, maybe, but as a complex song — I'm not that sure.

  • Who fucking cares if it's not complex?

  • I do. I care.

  • if not that then "youre the web in front of my favorite lie"

  • jimmy eat world bigged these guys up on tweeter...so glad ive heard this song now, im gonna fall in love with this band i can tell

  • My mate Stu says these guys sound like Del amitri lolz

  • i will never get tired of listening to this song one of my favorites great lyrics

  • Gotta love the 90's, man. The only period of time where you could just throw random stuff at the camera and call it a music video.

    Great song, AWESOME video.

    Thanks for uploading it, man.

  • College was fueled by the LOAF!

  • love this song!

  • ICKY METTLE! And this song was in the Mall Rats soundtrack, where Jay and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) made their 2nd appearance. Those were great days. I went from Singapore to NC just hoping to see them.

  • Icky Mettle!!!!

  • I love this song. Icky Mettle is one of the greatest albums to come out of the 1990s; Archers of Loaf have a unique sound, beautiful and powerful. Great, weird video for this song too.
