Hard to believe this band came out of Looking Glass. That name was so light & mellow. This band, poppy as they can be, were energetic & rocked REALLY hard! Awesome!
This was the first Starz track I heard way back in the late 70s. I was hooked! Violation is one of my fav albums of all time. I agree with everyone else here - very underrated band who deserved greater success than they had. It's a Violation..!
One of my mates told me about this band and they are AWESOME! That is all I have to say. They are super underrated. They should have been at KISS status in terms of popularity. Good rockin band!
I´ve been waitin´ for this about 30 years. I´m from Chile. The LP was in my hands by then... now it´s a rememberin´... THANK YOU VERY; VERY; VERY MUCH !!!
I'm just saying, I think that there is a way to clean up some of the older stuff and make them HD or to at least make them look easier on the eyes. I realize that there is probably not much out there of Starz which is a shame since they did play a lot of places! I saw them at least 3 times here in Cleveland in the past and each show was amazing. Still one of my favorite groups to see live.
Great band and I saw them several times in the past. One of the best in my opinion. Very underrated. Not sure why they don't clean up some of these videos and repost them. They are obviously getting the traffic! Not on Facebook either.
ROCK-N-ROLL This group could have been the "Aerosmith" of my late '70's generation...listen to the music...they were rated very-very high in the late 1970's...thank you for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Billy
ROCK-N-ROLL ...In the late 1970's (1976-1978ish) the music experts rated this group the same as Aerosmith! Listen to all their songs...a slight twist of fate...and this group would be today's Aerosmith! Thank you for all who post their music!!! Billy
Saw them live on their Violation tour, summer of 77. GREAT SHOW! Ritchie Ranno is one of the best guitarist of all time! His solo was outstanding, and if I remember correctly, he did something in the middle of it like "when you wish upon a star, or twinkle twinkle little star", or something like that. High energy band that could play their instruments. You kids really missed out on the best days of Hard Rock with bands like Starz, Moxy, Riot, Angel, Piper, etc. Watch um on you tube!
Kind of an Aerosmith vibe with this video--and yet "Cherry Baby" and "So Young So Bad" are so superior to anything that ASmith did it boggles the mind...
Starz live at Mexicali Live, Teaneck, NJ, April 15th, 2011 & The ROCK N ROLL EXPO Sunday April 17 2011, 3 PM Show, Albany Marriott Wolf Rd., Colonie NY !!
Note to the record companies who keep pulling music videos from You Tube. I am buying the MP3 of this Starz tune from Amazon because I was exposed to it on You Tube. Not all of us are pirates, argggh!
Ok..another great 70's band..put out i think 3 albums..thattt's rite I said ALBUMS..then disappeared from sight..very memorable tho and again..fun to look at!
Been listenin to these dudes alot lately.......were under my radar ALL THIS TIME!
Man they rock!!!......Definitely dont make em like this anymore!!....What ever happened to the multi-tacked harmonies?....the thunderclaps??......Brilliant shit.......its also kinda cool that the Lead Singer looks like a "badass" Freddie Mercury!!.......Only wish I woulda known about them when I was younger!!
most under-rated band of the 70s Rock Scene.Awesome songs, singer, guitars and JX Dube's stash rivals Neil Peart's(mustache that is). Listen, if the music industry is going to keep supressing new music and not invest in anything other than repackaging classic crap than they should at least promote a band like STARZ which they did a shitty job of doing back in the day. They deserve everything Aerosmith got ... yes what I'm saying is they are just as good for sure. btw I'm a big Aerosmithh fan!
STARZ is & always will be the band that makes my heart young again. It is a very select group of people I've kept in my life long enough that share how I feel when I play this album. We NEVER change the music (even if it totally flips the mood in the room) and We ALWAYS sing ALL the words to ALL the songs as Loud as we want.
I too thought these guys were great. Never received much airplay, and never got the attention they deserved. Thanks for posting Starzcentral!
Violation was my very favorite.

Metal hair bands of the 80's hurt rock. Their best songs were covers of 70's power pop bands!

That's interesting. Starz came out with 4 LPs in the 1970's, and i had all of them. Refreshing vocals on this tune!
Their song, 'Good Ale We Seek', was hilarious!
