He's actually a very forward fairy! Watch the movie again, when they first meet- there is a point when Thumbelina turns her back to him and he start moving toward her like he's going to grab her(and probably kiss her) and then she looks back at him and Cornelius turns away in an embarrassed manner.

Besides that creepy point- I like Cornelius and when mz Thumbs is all "He's dead D: D:" and then he pops out and finishes the song- just wow. Beautiful part in the movie.

He sacrificed a lot for her and is throwing a tantrum but finally realizes that he did it all because he loved her.
