  • kool drummer. traditional grip ;)

  • These fools r yoked

  • i needs this lyric. someone who can give me?

  • Hey it's like that guy in the Black Eyed Peas...only he's amazing

  • I love Toussiant's voice. A lot of soul for sure. I am sorry they do not do any of these tunes on tour now. Of course Nigel is a mother also!

  • Where the fuck is their bassist?

  • @jnmdjc957 Keyboard player is playin left hand bass

  • @jnmdjc957 -Eric Krasno-i love him lol

  • @jnmdjc957 lmao......the organ brutha man..

  • @jnmdjc957 lmao......the keyboard/hammond organ.

  • pure tastyfull guitar solo

  • This is WAAAAY better than the record version,

  • Soulive ,it seem like thier big influence come from MANDRILL,WAR. great sound!

  • glad they got rid of this singer. Their new guy is killing

  • Glad???

    Wtf...

  • Toussaint is the shit wat u talking about glad

  • What are you talking about? This guy is great......his voice is perfect for this style and he sounded great on this album. His swag is off the chain too! That whole jamaican swang in his voice is so appropriate for this! It's raw as hell!

  • Not that he was bad. My comment was a bit harsh. I just think Nigel is a better fit to what they are doing now. His range is wider, and he is a great keyboard player as well.

  • Oh sho ya right! I just saw them in Boston almost two weeks ago and Nigel ripped!!! He got that 70's soul down pat!!!! A Raphael Saadiq/Soulive show at House of Blues.....i almost shit in my pants......what a awesome show!!!!!!

  • Oh man,I love this song!

    Great video!!!!

  • I just saw these cats in Milwaukee the other day. LOVE the keyboard player

  • This is Let's get it on by Marvin Gaye

  • No, actually it's "Callin' Live" by Soulive. Get your soul straight jackass. (it's sad, people like this Pfunkinhomeboy can't look past "a" similarity.) And honestly, I hear the influence of Marvin Gaye, but like i said i hear the INFLUENCE. Would you rather Soulive take influences from Miley Cyrus? YIKES!!!!!!! But, I know, people like you just wanna bitch about something. Whatever makes you feel better about your pathetic self right?

  • haha,

pretty hostile man. All respect for Soulive, it's just the same chord progression, like tons of artists do. Didn't wanna go sit on your tickle. It did make me feel better about my pathetic little self though:) Haha!

  • sry, but if it's the same progression as tons of other artists, why point it out like a whiner? I apologize for calling you pathetic, but I will correct myself and say your previous comment was pathetic and pointless not you necessarily ;) And if it's any consolation, your comment was at the end of a long stretch of cynical comments I'd read before my previous response. So it was kinda like water torture to read "This is Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye" It was the straw that broke my back ;)

  • Ok, apology accepted! All love and unity man! And maybe your right that it's pretty pointless to say what I said! Hehe, btw this is my first youtube conversation, nice debute! Cheers!

  • Same prog's, yeah

  • Eric Krasno is my fav guitarist at the moment, so smooth...so smooth. What red guitar is that?

  • I've seen them twice live in Boston. Both times all the people around me were staring at me because of how hard i was rocking out.

The first time was still the best live show I've ever seen, Sammy K on sax that night. Blew my mind in such a serious way.

  • Soulive should go do a european tour ;)

  • they are sons of Everage White Band...oh yes!

  • where is the bass player?

  • left hand keyboard awesomeness.

  • The bass player's name is Neals LeftHand

  • neal evans plays the bass parts on his key board

  • I listen to this song at least once a day.

  • the song is cool itself, but this live-record is just awesome :)

  • Kraz got some cool shades. This is a great version of this song.

  • these guys are awesome thank god for youtube or else I would have never found these cat's good stuff..they need to play Wanee this year

  • if u listen to this with headphones u will get the best sound. the bass lines are amazing. this group is just great

  • Both their old and new is excellent!!

  • It's like Soulive completely changed genres from Jazz/Funk to Soul. I personally like Soulive's earlier stuff better but i still enjoyed their No Place Like Soul album.

  • yeah I feel the same way, thank god they are doing their 'trio' tour again.

  • on their no place like soul tour they still did plenty of funk three piece jamming. Soulive only expands their sound, they don't forget where they came from.

  • Nice oner, one of my favs

  • jew guys are awesome

  • yo I'm loving it keep it up

  • Muy buen grupo, recien hace como un mes que tengo conocimiento de ellos y ya tengo casi todos sus discos, hace de verdad musia muyyy buena. Ademas la cancion es wenisima.

  • I saw them Dec 30th in boston. what a show! it was my third time and it always gets better. great band.

  • Toussanit added the last piece they needed for sure. They've been so good in the background for people for so long. They can really stand up as their own solid group with him now. Exactly the guy that should be singing their tunes

  • Musicianship at its best! When will the cokeheads at major labels get it?

  • I just have to say

so glad they decided to go back to the trio...

  • I don't know.. I thought the "no place like soul" was killer... They'll be great either way.

  • I can't believe this group isnt more popular. They are brilliant! Probably my favorite band out right now...it just makes you feel good to listen to their songs. Makes you want to get up and dance. If you listen to this and dont atleast tap your foot then you have no pulse.

  • oh god, when will these guys come to australia? i'm dying to see them live...

  • I know exactly what u mean! Best is go to official web site and contact them...i have done this several times. The more the better...It was good to see them in line up supporting The Cat Empire touring Oz...only for them to cancel...damnations!!!!

  • i played at the knitting factory.

knowing these guys have played there makes it seem so much cooler for me.

    sweet

  • The Best ... Anyone know where can I download this song (Mp3) ???

  • itunes

  • that was an amazing guitar solo

  • I don't know guys but adding Toussanit was the best move Soulive could've done for themselves. The old Soulive was cool, but they needed a singer that would appeal to the mass audience.

  • very good I cant wait for all the new lyrics

  • Kraz is definitely one of the best and most underrated guitarists alive. He is also a really modest and genuinely nice guy who cares about his fans.

  • Hell yeah, fellas! Great stuff, brothers! Mad digging "No Place Like Soul"! Best album I've bought in awhile!

    Be well,

    Jas Patrick

  • I love it.. Anyone know where I can find the lyrics

  • In the CD sleeve

  • I understand their need for a change but i feel that its a sideways step bringing in so much vocals. I miss watching them more freeform, jazzy feeding off eachother. Now their show feels way too stock. who's with me?

  • Totally! I keep trying to get into the new disc. Don't get me wrong if it was a new band on the scene, then cool, but it's Soulive!!!

  • I just saw them at Bimbershoot and I have to say that the songs with vocals feel very spontaneous and like they're feeding off eachother. They are constantly adding parts to all songs and mixing in instrumentals. Toussaint gives it everything he has on every song, great addition to the group.

  • I missed hearing a solo from Neil.

  • Soulive is the shit!

  • can't wait to see them at bumbershoot, i like their new guy a lot more than i thought i might

  • WICKEDD PERFORMANCE STRRRRRAAAAAAIGHT!!! i saw them live the other day, real crazy show!
