I love Kyo and Sena! Really I think that they were killed so that the four original members of Weiss could live on but they could still have the dramatic effect of someone dying... I hope that's not the only reason.

Because of that, sometimes I think it's understandable also that people forgot about Sena and Kyo... I never would because their characters were strong enough to get to me early on. =] I saw Gluhen before I had the internet back and I was surprised that so few people liked them.

Continuing on the AMV ranting, because I spent half of my post fangirling XD

I really, really liked how the scenes played, and the balance between the characters was perfect. I'd like to highlight the end of the AMV for everyone who's seeing this video... You did it superbly. It almost brought tears to my eyes - yeah, I'm an emotional person, but the feelings... Your AMV transmited so much emotion. It's hard to come across one that moves us so.

This AMV is just simply great. Made of awesome. It's really emotional, the song fits perfectly, the clips are well cropped. Plus, it has Kyou! Just perfect.

I was just wondering where was the Kyou love. Sena survived long enough, but poor Kyou! I was really traumatized by his death. I had liked him so much, his story and all. Also, I was sad he god barely any interaction with Ken in the anime. In the drama their relationship was so WOW.

I'm a Weiss Kreuz fan myself but Sena and Kyou just weren't that great. They just didn't have that same vibe as the others (by that I mean ALL of the other characters) did.

And of course it didn't help matters that you didn't really get to know them very well either. As far as I'm concerned, Sena was an Omi replacement and Kyou was a waste of a character.

I love this video - it's so well edited, and the song is very well chosen. It's a shame Sena and Kyou were underappreciated, they were two very good characters! Anyway, this is a really good video, so well done!

actually I haven't gotten to see Gluhen yet, I mean I want to I just haven't (and I call myself a Weiss fan >.< ) I didn't know there were two new Weiss members... so I'm thankful you made this AMV, I think I'll like them both very much! they look like unique and interesting characters ^_^

I also must say that this is a wonderfully well made AMV, the song is perfect and your editing skills are wonderful as well!

Yes. I actually find it disappointing that Kyou was dismissed unfairly by fans of the original Weiss Kreuz series. Sena had also met the same fate, although not as cruel.

Yeah. Kyou lacks screentime! I would've loved it if they showed how he died so I can at least sympathize/cry. (But seeing him with Todou made me squeal inside)

I captured the footage from my dvds and edited it myself in Adobe Premiere 6.5 for the Mac. I don't use "clips" or others' edited footage from other AMVs, and the quality from starting with dvds is far better than using fansubs or raws.

I'm not going to say a thing about pairings, because I am so sick of Weiss being overloaded with that crap and I honestly don't think this vid was about any of that nonsense. This is a very good video and a very good tribute. I personally liked them, but thought their deaths were... well, a waste of good characters. Especially Kyou, since he was offed early on it seemed. But at the same time it was good to see that the assassin life could end brutally even for people who are fighting for good.

THANK YOU very much. While I'm guilty of making pairing vids in the past, when I set out to make this vid, it was honestly to portray the underdog Weiss characters in a way that would get Gluhen dismissers to re-think them. There were no intended pairings from the start.

I'm with you all the way. I LOVED Sena and Kyo. They were great characters..and I cried like HELL when they died. I'm glad someone is giving them the fandom they deserve! Sena and Kyo forever!

I loved the character of Kyo. I think people forgot about him because Ken and Yoji appeared soon after that. I really disliked how the series paid little attention to those two characters, even with Ken saying "New members should shut up." to Sena. Sena did some good things for Weiss.

I agree, and I think you've brought up an interesting point. One other thing that comes to mind is how compared to Sena's death, Kyou's death is almost entirely off-screen. The first time I watched Gluhen (raws, so there were no subs, granted), I actually thought he committed suicide because of the similarity between the Toudou clone and his brother. (I was wrong, of course, but it doesn't speak well for how his death was handled in the series, I think.)

Yeah, I recognize that as well. Though why they're not squealing at the mostly naked Kyou in episode two is beyond me. ;)

The band is the Cruxshadows, and I've used their music in another Weiss AMV as well (Coming Home). It's gothic rock, not necessarily to everyone's tastes, but it fit the vid when I was making it.
