I can agree with some stuff for the gameboy, but you gotta admit, it had fairly decent graphics for a gameboy game, and the gameplay for characters like jago are pretty smooth.. and the musics pretty good...

Fuck yeah!!! Killer Instinct is the greatest fighting game of all time, or at least of the 16-bit era. I don't know what ever happened to RareWare; they used to be straight up baller making all of the best games on both the SNES and 64, then it seems like their talent just disappeared.

I have Killer Instinct on the SNES... I played it for about 5 minutes, I liked the intro and music, but then put it Donkey Kong Country back in because I don't really like fighter games, but I'll give another try cause of this video.

Well, I love the Killer Instinct too (Hell, I dug up my SNES to play KI then found your review here.) and I also agree on the release of the Killer Instinct Xbox live arcade version but if I remember correctly they said that they would first make KI 3 before releasing an arcade remake of the original so the fans can enjoy both the nostalgia of the first game and the newer, more developed features of the third game.
I share your enthusiasm for KI. I like 100's (if not 1000's) of games but KI is the only fighting game I really got into. Namely KI Gold, I can't believe that people complained about it, it's easily the best "console" version of the game.
And the tutorial/training mode is fantastic! It taught me how to string moves into combos in a matter of days.
Wow gexup your videos are always so good. Gold is my third fav fighting game right behind marvel vs. Capcom 2 and SSBB. I know most people don't like rare any more but I did really enjoy nuts and bolts and would still like to see them make a LI 3.

Man RARE is no longer the same RARE I like from the past. I hope a KI3 does happen but the way Microsoft is running RARE. Rareware is not the same ever since Microsoft buy there asses. Most of the RARE developers move to other company's. Some stay with Nintendo, others went to the guys that made Time Splitters.

@gexup When i first saw the goldred claw lines streaming off sabur wolfs hands as he ripped the spit out of his opponent during an ultra, and then to switch it up to shadow styles mid rip. Thats what got me hooked to this back in the day. This game made a big impact in beat um up design there after, from the following instalments of mortal Kombat, to raging blast, tekken and even street fighter took a few leaves from its book. (and dont forget NINJA MASTERS). KI beats capcom vs marvel.
I never played a KI game, the only fighter I had the chance to realy play in the 90's was Primal Rage for the Playstation which I liked. I wish I had a chance to try KI for comparison.
Excellent. I own both KI on the SNES and KI Gold on N64. Sadly I never had a chance to play either KI or KI2 in the arcades but I've never been a big arcade guy to begin with. I also missed out on the Game Boy version, I would have liked to have heard what the music sounded like in that version. Yes, GB has an inferior sound-system but that doesn't mean there haven't been any good GB soundtracks (just listen to Mega Man 2 or Super Mario Land).
This was a great review, I personally have only played KI Gold and Its kickass better than having no KI right? A KI 3 why the hell not I'd give it a try, do it rare or gexup will do an ULTRA COMBO!!!!!!!
