It is an inside job. Look up Moon mining John Hodge Anti gravity, Robert Hoagland bases on the moon and on mars. My guess is that either there is competition or that the astronauts were beamed out of the shuttle onto a UFO and they were taken to a base on Moon or Mars to continue their work. Dear 3303 -- You need to see a night-time shuttle fireball and persistent luminescent trail, it really defies verbal description. I've seen a dozen of them. The photo is consistent with a jiggled camera exposed to that light show.

It jiggled, too, but as a diffuse subdued light band, rather than a sharp bright dot (the fireball), it's not going to register on the optics.

This can actually be simulated. Get a matte, with a small hole for a bright bulb to shine through, and a white 'trail' against black background, and move it past a tripod-mounted camera on time exposure. Flick the camera with a finger to simulate opening jiggle. Compare results.
