Packing your laptop in your carry-on (as well as a change of clothes, pjs, undies, and extra toiletries) is a good idea, as opposed to packing it in your suitcase, like the other viewers have stated. However, taking an "ugly, bulky, gross" computer case is unnecessary, as you can put your laptop in a soft, tightly-fitting case, and store it in a more stylish bag with a zipper. (Maybe a tote such as the one Faran packed in her case?)

I absolutely love this idea of packing! Im traveling to Paris over the summer and I thought this would be the best way to do it! I did a "practice pack" to see how much I would be taking and how much my suitcase would weigh...and everything fit and i just made the weight limit (yes, I did take it to get weighed, lol). And when i went to put everything back, everything came out so easily! Thanks for the video!

Obviously that wasn't her actualy bag people! It was a DEMO!

Though I think the folding everything in technique works better when you're staying in one hotel or place for more than a few nights so you can unpack & use the shelves/dresser/closet for your clothes. For my upcoming trips I'm probably going to lay & then fold my dress pants & jeans (dresses if I bring them) and roll everything else inside. Shoes...not quite sure yet.

That was a brilliant way of bringing a coat (i'l borrow that idea) but for me I'l still roll my other clothes and use plastic backs to keep my shoes and cosmetics seperate, also I think having a seperate laptop case for the laptop offers more protection since you can keep this within sight..

Seriously girl, they do not handle your suitcases "with care" in the airports... how they disembarks suitcases from a plane is literally throw them straight to the lorries.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the Mac laptop. I would never put my iBook into a suitcase... what if the suitcase gets lost?! What I do is put it in my Longchamp bag (like the one in the video) as it is big enough to hold it and take it on as hand luggage. I would be so pissed if I reached my destination with my laptop smashed up or even gone.

ummm... good tips. But you should NEVER put a computer in a checked bag. You're setting yourself up for it to be stolen. Now that you can't have locked bags when you're flying in America, so many more belongings have been stolen out of suitcases. If you're going to bring a computer, I highly suggest the "ulgy, bulky, gross" laptop case, over reaching your destination, and seeing your computer isn't there.
