  • The idea is nice. But the approach is kind of incorrect.

    You are simply getting the orientation and position of the phone to navigate through the 3d model. Thus the 3d model looks shaky when superimposed over the camera image. The way to do it is you get a few reference points from the camera and lock your 3d model to those reference points so it's not shaking all over the screen when moving the camera.

  • @zadirion IMHO its a pretty solid approach, but you have to realize its an early incarnation. Imagine youre on a street corner and you open an AR app. You run your camera over restaurant fronts and reviews for the restraunt display over the building. You go in and scan the crowd with your camera and facial recognition software pulls up their social network profiles. You point your camera at the chairs at the restaurant and it pulls up product information from the manufacturer.
