I'm not religious, but I do deal with a lot of people who talk when I walk past them, just because i have tattoos and a multitude of body mods. They're so closed minded, they cant appreciate the art form at all! Its not all about the shock factor, it is in itself a ritualistic and, in a way, a religious act in its own right. look back at body suspension. it was a rights of passage for young men.

I think it's insane that tattoos have been illegal in Oklahoma until only last year! I can't even imagine! A friend of mine, who is from Portland, OR, like me, has a bunch of tats and body piercings and she went to a convention in Oklahoma a few years ago and had quite a bit of trouble from others. She said it was insane!  So, I can see where you're coming from. I myself am a Christian and I LOVE tats and body piercings. I say go for it! Just move to Oregon! They'll hire you here! ;)
