  • Made in russia but with american parts? Disappointing...

  • To this day I am still loving my Maadi RPM :)

  • love the krebs top rail, but makes the dovetail mount pointless

  • there are so many things wrong with this gun starting with price, it has 2! rail mounts why is there a side scope mount whene it already a monolythic type rail already, the ak's weakiest selling point is its weight. krebs should of fluted the barrel or anything wieght isssued. finaly the next weak point is its not tactical/ergonamical. if only i was rich i'd make the worlds BEST AK 47 EVER not joking.

  • i wish they made a russian made AK that was cheap

  • @andrewvanrhoberts Convert a saiga, $380 and a little work.

  • amazing guns

  • i would keep fishing hooks and line in the pistol grip

  • nice rail where did you get that???

  • You can't compare apples to oranges. AK's are a weapon system on its own and you can't benchmark it against any AR platform black rifle. As far as Krebs is concern, a waste of money on a Kalashnikov dressed up to look like an AR 15. If you want AR 15-like features on your battle rifle, well then buy an AR! This is like buying a Chrysler 300 and accessorizing it to make look like a Bentley. Dumb! Sorry Nutn, but I don't like the Krebs. Waste of money.

  • @SuspectingCitizen Maybe some of us like the stopping power and reliability of an AK with the accessorizable nature of the AK.

  • As much as I love optics, rails, etc, I have to say that I really dislike this system. The AK series, in my opinion, has a very specific POU, that is, rugged, reliable, GTW/WROL/Defense gun. When you start AR-ifing an AK, you're trying to force it out of it's POU, thus the weight, and the lack of accuracy in exchange for weight. I do endorse the use of lights and red-dots on AK systems, as they eliminate some of the problems of the system. An AR however, has a POU compatible with rails, etc.

  • I don't know why but i want that as an ak-74u set up, now i'm sad because i'll never have one.

  • Nice job on the review.....where can I get the cool looking digi camo furniture on the Mak90 AK you use for comparison?

You mention the Mak90 having a heavier bbl and thicker receiver.....did the (older?) Norinco, etc. Mak90, etc. AK's have thicker metal stampings?

    Thanks

  • haha nice comparison to the corvette.. and i found ak47 762.39 ammo at walmart, 40rds for only $20

  • @poopydrawers1 I wouldnt call that exactly a great price. the Wal-Mart near my has Tul-Ammo 7.62X39 for $5.50 per 20

  • haha nice comparison to the corvette

  • an ak lends it self to be a P.O.S to a realy Hi end work of art, and i will still work.

  • An over priced AK 47! And it isnt any more accurate than a WASR 10. For that money I would expect excellent accuracy. If your gonna spend that much money buy an accurate battle rifle for sure. Ill keep my WASR 10.

  • @daytonascanner Looks like a Milled receiver AK, it will more accurate than your WASR.

  • @adobo777

It's not a milled, if it was milled you would see the elongated impression near the magazine well, I think it is just a stamped with no mag dimples.

  • @daytonascanner WASR's are good, IF u look for the bad points and make sure they are all good. I would never ever buy a wasr online, Krebs or Arsenal's though i wouldn't feel so nervous about.

  • My friend put an eraser in a plastic bag and hit me with it, that thing hurt. People should ban erasers and plastic bags

  • if this had a milled reciver, heavy barrel, full auto conversion and a AK74 style muzzle device it would be my DREAM gun

  • just say this, theres 1,000 ways to die and a gun is just 1..

  • You do a very, very good job on your videos nut. Working through them slowly but surely and I appreciate the effort you put into your passion.

  • omg i wish krebs did this to a AK-74!!!

  • that dam thing is heavy i have on i took hunting and it sucked. but i never had it fail ran some ammo i shouldnt have shot. i ran shot it any way an never had a jam

  • I generally like Nutnfancy's reviews, and his AK vs. AR really helped me make a choice, but you can't get any 7.62X39 ammo to shoot the thing? Really? So this was actually a review of an AK shaped paperweight. Maybe next I'll check out an auto review where the car sits still with the engine off.

  • @philpost1 Tabletop Review. Said in the first 10 seconds. Sorry you didn't get your bang-bang but if you were familiar with the terminology you wouldn't have been so disappointed.

  • Great video Brother.

  • I love the vids but do you have to add so much verbal filler. It would def cut down on vid time

  • looks like a wasr with upgrades since it dont have dimples, no way id pay that kinda money for an ak without mag dimples

  • im going cheap on an ak no need to spend more than 500 on it .... they are cheap designs. but they chug along...

  • @daybreak1HP i think its rude to call someone names. usually the person calling the name is the thing he is telling the other person what he is.

  • you make great videos keep up the good work bro.....

  • @TheRickIRL Marc Krebs makes a nice rifle. I had a gorgeous Tantal from them once. However, this rifle is definitely over-loaded. With the recent advances in the AK market you can build a similarly effective rifle, which weighs less. Tactical is light actually...Tactical means getting more out of your same component in the most effective/quickest manner possible. This is where advancements come in. Weight always translates to speed (unless you're down to measuring half-ounces etc.).

  • Succinct: Concise, yet unambiguous.

  • The nutnfancy effect: I am watching an ak47 review even though I live in Canada.

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName sucks i know :(

  • I believe the Galil has a similer safty/fire selector system. You should find one and do a table top review :)

  • Would make a good "trunk-gun", for a Sheriff or HwyPatrol ... That's about "it".

Yeah ... AR-10/SR-25 carbine or an A4-6.8mm ... for the money.

.357 mag wheel-gun with a decent red-dot would be more likely to "be there" and to save your bacon.

  • Recently saw an AK-74M (5.45mm cal) of a guy from Russian special forces, he serves somewhere in Caucasus region, so he uses his AK for fighting almost daily. As someone commented resulting looks of that AK "OMG, what they have done to M4?!" 8D

It had retrofittted metal folding triangular stock (says it's lighter than newer plastic, didn't knew that) with a cheek rest from SVD on it. American made grip, handguard with rails and attached forward grip, and an Americn made mid level red dot.

  • you fucked up the soviet union gun

  • Great video, you really know what you are talking about, some great analogies too(corvette:))

  • I like guns, I like the way they look.

I like the shiny steal and the polish wood.

I don't care if they are BIG or small.

If they are for sale hell I want them all.

    I like guns.

    I like guns.

    I like guns.

  • cheeper than dirt has all the ammo you need!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Dirt125cc Alas...the ammo is no longer "cheaper than dirt" though...

  • AK is an AK damn reliable not super accurate" "depending on round and ammo", and if you miss you got 29 more rounds, but personalty for a Krebs i would save for an entry level AR-10 or 15 but thats me, Krebs or Arsenal is just a fancy Saiga. If you want accuracy get a bolt action bull barrel and floated trigger... but then only as accurate as the shooter. I can't really shoot my Saiga all that well but I can tack drive with my 1942 Tula Mosin, its odd, its like food every one has there taste

  • people shouldnt get so polarized on guns...what works for some doesnt mean that it will work for others....i like putting ar stuff on my ak....it makes my gun unique and for me it works. i like modding my gun/gear TO ME TO SUIT MY NEEDS. if people in this country worried more about themselves than that of what others are doing this country would be better off.

oh n btw gun weight for me isnt an issue...cause if the SHTF im sure there will be plenty of gear and guns laying on the ground.

  • what rail that on the top?

  • Ounces equal pounds, pounds equal pain

  • what a gay looking AK. I hate when American companies ruin the AK design by trying to "Americanize" it with a bunch of gay AR parts. The original AK design is amazing why ruin such a great design that the russians made? Thats why i went arsenal, although the polymer furniture is gay too, i made some custom wood furniture on it and it looks amazing. Im sure it shoots fine though but the design is just horrible.

  • i stopped in Krebs Custom's shop today that is a great place to visit

  • How much did a M1 Garrand or a BAR weigh for AAmerican Soldiers during WWII???

The weight of a rifle is always subjective to the individual just like recoil, and pain.

It is just another good reason to stay physically fit, and do some occasional ruck marhes so you get comfortable with your gear and weapon of choice.

  • @usarmycaptainamerica Do you really think that those guys in WW2 would rather have their 12 pound rifles than a 6.5 pound rifle?

  • @Kylef7735-- As a Soldier myself lighter is always more desirable, but you have to ask yourself at what cost.

I toted an M4 Carbine around Iraq, with a Knights RAS system, pistol grip foreend, and an Amipoint red dot sight with the appropriate mounting hardware.

With all that crap, the weight starts adding up quick. If I was a straight up 11Bravo then we could have included a IR optic and laser as well adding yet more weight.

As I said before it is all subjective to the individual.

  • @Kylef7735 -- a 30-06 round will put you down with far more authority than a 5.56 will.

Keep in mind also because the military is more politically correct in contrast to WWII we have to accommodate smaller statured women.

  • @Kylef7735 there was no ak-47 in ww2... so why you mention ww2 again?

  • You increased the performance of the AK style rifle so this is a plus. Well done. Good improvements made.

  • nutnfancy do you think you we be able to make a video showing us the "lightest" AK possible with functionality?

  • lol if you want to save yourself money get a Saiga sporting rifle, get a conversion kit from K-var, save yourself about 1000 dollars, and customize as preferred, and save money, that kids is a Saiga receiver.

  • Great job man after my 3rd tor to Iraq I'd love to come run and gun with u

  • that looks fuckin cool

  • nice gun

  • AKs look REALLY bad

  • GUNS ARE GOOD

  • @666ASTANA Why do you favorite videos about christianity when your username has 666?

  • great work on the custom ak by cribes. well done. i have many of these fetures on mine at home, love all of them.

  • @TheRickIRL OH BURN!!

  • Robinson Armament has a limited number of Vepr's again, but no KTR-08; just the KTR-03 in .223. You're right though about the price; it's insanely high.

  • Hey nutnfancy!

Great reviews, keep going them! Thumbs up.

Question: I live in Finland where getting a license for a full auto rifle is next to impossible, so as an operator I'm left with the option to buy a semi if I want my own gun. So I'm looking at something like this gun here. What I want to know is do Sako RK 95 7.62 plastic composite mags fit the AK variant here? Just an idea, they're lighter too. You can find the mags by "Googling RK 95 LIPAS" (Mag in finnish).

  • Nutnfancy awesome vids!! Keep em coming man!! I am a avid Ak fan! Love this rifle!

  • is there any civilian model AK 74's out there?

  • You have sold me on the AK nuntfancy. I love your vidoes. Please review the boar knife from Cold Steel. Thinking about that one for a hunting knife.

  • Hi...just wanted to say think you for this and all of your videos. I've read some of the comments from other viewers, and I confess, I am at a loss as to some of the "egos" that show up. You've always provided good, solid data, and that's been important to me personally with some of the purchases I have made for equipment. So, thank you.

  • That safety catch is one one thing John Browning designed that is bad...

  • Spai Krebs? I tought they are extinct

  • i want one?

  • How much does this go for new?

  • It's a .311 diameter bullet, not .308

  • @HKS240sx Where did you get that from?

  • @daybreak1HP

    haha you got owned

  • Steel magazine is too heavy? Use plastic magazine.

  • I love you man.

  • @daybreak1HP Haha, pwnd by nutn.

  • Does the ACU furniture on that MAK-90 velcro in place? lol. Good review ... little spendy for my taste though.

  • Everyone who is saying nutn is a pussy for choosing a light weight system obviously hasn't been carrying 100 pounds of gear in the Iraqi mountains for 3 days in 100 degree heat. Not even 50 pounds of gear for 3 hours hiking in their mountains. Now if you are going to be a gunner that is going to sit in a pretty stationary location giving cover fire then why not get a 20 pound gun and carry 70 pounds of gear you really aren't going to need all of the movement that people who would be bustin doors

  • A heavy AK, thats fine.I would rather it be heavy but always work then a light AR that might jam but yes this seems to costly. If your going to spend 2 grand you might as well get a FN Scar.

  • @grodspc

Save your money and get a AK74, no reason to get a SCAR. Overhyped pricey pos, nothing that the AK74 does not already offer and the 74 has a better round.

  • @daybreak1HP

put up a vid of you doing som runnin and gunnin with ur ak, dont forget to include ur pistol, pistol mags, extra ak mags, and your tac vest. and do it over and over, not just once. seriously let me know wen you post it

  • "normal capacity", thank you, wish our California representatives would be reasonable with all of our ridiculous laws... laws which still did not stop criminals in the North Hollywood Shootout from possessing 100 round drums. Stand up non felon citizens go to jail for owning 30 rnd mags, while criminals can still get them, no problem.

  • Why'd you disable ratings? You did a good job. I still like my SAR-1 better though :)

  • I've got 3 AR's, one has a 16" .936 barrel and a PRS stock, weighs like a tank, coyote gun. An LT104 with a Burris xtr1-4 rides on the side rail while the NV scope is on the main rail, and also has BUIS and a TNVC Torch. GUN. WEIGHS. A LOT. I carry it miles at a time through snow and mud. When/if I ever have to leave the house in a SHTF situation, my 9# WASR-10 will be joining me, wihout question. It's the cheapest, and best gun I own, never lets me down. He aint heavy, he's my brother.

  • I was curious if they chose the single hook or the sheppards crook instead of the redstar retaining bracket to accomodate that thumb operated safety. Did not see enough of the FCG to determine that.

  • want 7.62x39 ammo? Go to MidwayUSA. Cheap wolf ammo

  • @daybreak1HP Yea, uhh huh.

    Surrrrre

    Make a video of it.

  • Lighter is almost always a better system. your simply uneducated if you say weight doesn't matter. ohh and i muted the video after he said $1400. there are a hundred better options if your in that price range. and i would never burn $1500 on old technology.

  • is a milled reciever really worth getting?

  • @WHITENUT45

arsenal ak's says a regular barrel will last you one lifetime and a mil spec will last you two

  • The KTR 08 and 09 are awesome guns. My buddy has several different calibers in that gun now, and I just bought 2 of them. And the price point on this gun is fine or better than most if you ask me. I hate cleaning my AR, these KTR’s are way easier to clean as well. Also, the KTR is accurate, very accurate. In fact, I’d go against any AR with the KTR in any situation. And the KTR won’t jam when it gets hot or dirty... Pros and cons to everything though.

  • shoot shoot shoot!

  • @daybreak1HP its not like there isnt other gear u have to carry along with it.. it all adds up besides any1 in good shape can walk around with 100lbs over their shoulders its just if u had only 30lbs on your shoulder you can walk faster and longer.. maybe even run

  • Very interesting video, as ever!

Just from time to time please zoom out and let us see the entire rifle, that way it's easier to figure out how the detail relates to the complete weapon.

    Cheers!

  • But the main thing is...can it mount a bayonet? xD

  • in my opinion the "AK" as it is being commonly called is a completely butt ugly gun that not even a mother could love, having said that i could not for the life of me ever get the thing to stop firing.

ar style rifles are the opposite, get a little dust in the reciever and you find yourself taking the gun down and cleaning it out.

  • crossed the hedgehog and the snake:) and they begat this one. Frankenstein:)

and just do a good idea. combine the reliability and ruggedness of the AK-47 with precision and ease of AR-15

  • Hi CAN any one help me out on the best ak 47 model/ maker out there in the market? there's so many it gets confusing. I have an idea in my head that Russia still makes the best ones period but please help me out peeps

  • i wish i could find that part for the thumb safety selector but i cant find it anywhere only the lightning levers

  • @TheRickIRL Um maybe you need to go hiking around with a 90 lb load, body armor, AND that 11 pound choice of guns to gain an appreciation of SAWC, yo. It's EASY to discount the importance of WEIGHT from the keyboard.

  • @nutnfancy Ive seen you videos. You are very thorough and subjective. I appreciate your research. I know you like AKs that's cool. I guess Im an AR kinda guy. weight is important, I'd rather go light so I can carry more ammo and optics. besides, after a few hrs the added weight will definitely take its toll on your body. So for those that feel that NOT toting a 12-15 lbs weapon system is being a pussy, with respect, you boys need to rethink that especially when humping a full pack and armor.

  • @nutnfancy USE THE LIGHTWEGHT PRO PERK DUHHHHHHH

  • @daybreak1HP Lighter weight means you can carry more capabilities simpleton...discussed many times here in TNP. And maybe you should prove your super studness by some demonstrating HIKING videos. I know YOUR system probably consists of your 12 lb stick, a pack of cigs, 20 rds and your Miller Lite but I cary more; a lot more. Sometimes heavy guns are necessary in POU, but not in tactical carbine. It's idiocy. Get your facts and understanding aligned before you come here to play AE with me.

  • @nutnfancy You Rule!

  • @nutnfancy Well said sir...well said.

  • @nutnfancy i was just wondering i see that you test gear have you ever seen any action by action i mean have you ever actually had to use any of your guns

  • @daybreak1HP It has nothing to do with being a pussy. If you want confirmation of that, look at his Glacier Call videos..he's going straight up a mountain with 90 lbs on his back..all day long. Upload a vid of YOU doing that on your channel and you won't appear so much like an armchair commando. Reign in your insults, especially if you do not comprehend that he's talking about weight as part of a system. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy

    Dont feed the trolls.

  • @nutnfancy My father might call someone a pussy for complaining about 11-13 lbs, but then again he was a M-60 gunner when was in Vietnam. Before then, he was carring an M-1 Garand (He said he never got the chance to play with the M-14.) ME, on the other hand, like light. Only disavantage of light is felt recoil but 5.56mm never had that much anyway. Good video by the way.

  • @TheRickIRL It doesn't have anything to do with "be a man", but it has a LOT to do with being a "smart man". -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Totally.

@ rick If you want a 15 pound gun and no survival gear... YOur choice.

I would go lighter and cary more ammo.

  • @nutnfancy Veri your awesome thanks for responding to all these idiots

  • @football72linemen Thanks, football! -- Veri

  • lol for the longest time whenever you said "my friend, sadly missing" i thought you meant your friend was actually missing

  • i found that AK rail for 70 bucks vs the site u posted that costs 300 wtf nut?

  • surplus 762x39mm is only $200/1120rds here in canada, is it more down in the us?

corrosive but it's not hard to clean an sks or vz58.

ak & variants are prohib here. No reason to explain why, I'm sure you can guess.

  • whats the music in beginning?

  • I have a similar AK. Mine is semi-auto as well.

I got a TapCo upgrade kit for it and for only $120 I now have mounts on the top & bottom (where the gas tube thing is) and have installed a much-needed scope (Im not the best shot) on her.

The beauty part is that its all Polymer where it used to be wood and its looks sweet AND is tactical.

I LOVE my rifle. I wouldnt trade it for nothin.

  • The rib-back on the forty-rounder means it's european, chinese mags all have flat-backs.

If this mag is some kind of exception let me know

  • This is a KTR-09 not an 08

  • the price its not bad , the acuracy of AK-47 is the only problem , but i stil love it :-) .

  • @ZXRaziel That is a stereotype.

  • @Kylef7735 i am talking from own experience no offence , it is a good system but compare to others in his class the acuracy let him down because the barrels are too " skinny " ( there are some special versions with thicker barrels but i never tryed one of them )

  • Try out ak74u it's just like that just a shorter barrel and looks like a normal ak Its fun to shoot it

  • picked up a yugo m70ab2 for 475.00 (with Tapco trigger/heavy barrel/1.5mm receiver) so the prices have come down since the frenzy with Obummer admin. comin into office. these rifles are modular so upgrade as funds allow.

  • In the USA, can you just buy these guns off the store??????? are you nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!! please confirm!

  • @mustang19ms yeahh.....and????

  • @mustang19ms its semi auto only

  • This video just reminded me of the gun market from 2008/9..... I really should've waited on that WASR-10/63 lol.

  • all krebs did was up date a 63 year old design i like old school ak's i got 3 but lets be honest its pain in the ass to to mount lights sights and all that good stuff on the regular models i dont like mounting holographic sites on my foregrip but thats me id rather pay 1375$ for a 5.45 or 1475$ for a 7.62 ktr-09 which is a ak on roids then 4000 for a hk 416 2600 for a acr or 1550 for sr 556

  • why does it have a rail mount on the side when it already has a much longer rail on the top? plz reply, i really want to know.

  • @TheSexCrazyMan

a lot of AK receivers come with that mounting plate all ready on it. chances are thats why.

  • Wow crazy cool gun

    How much is it worth

    -love the videos

  • anyone where I can get a thumb safety like the one on this Krebs KTR-08 for my Arsenal SGL-21?

  • its a great Russian gun, only if you use Russian ammo, mine was made in russia, i have another garbage Romanian made ak47

  • YEA DEM FUCKIN CARS jk (but seriously)

  • i have to agree that there is way too much talk that has nothing to do with the review man ...i like your reviews but please cut the bs about nothing and get to the review.

  • eh its still an ugly gun..

  • You can just build one of those, dudes! Go to Saiga-12 and check out the forums and learn. Krebs will charge you out to ass for something that you can build for far less. It's more fun that way too. Moving the FCG forward isn't that difficult. Once that is done, it's all downhill from there. Bolt that VLTOR CAR stock adapter on - get a sweet Magpul stock for it, slap on a rail of your choice, attach a Hogue AK grip, get some SureFire Gun Mags, and you're good to go!

  • @TheSoundBarrier do you know anything about that front sight base on this gun?

ive been trying to find out about them

  • nice gun, weird complaints. you really cant complain about weight. you're just carrying it in your hummer or volvo or whatever and then shooting it for maybe 2-3 hours. also the accuracy, you can't expect 1 MOA or less out of an AK. maybe an RPK with tricked out crap on it or a PSL. the sights are fine. If you can hit what you're aiming, it works great. if you can't, well, you need a new gun. the safety, how, can you complain? you're shooting for fun. Seriously. Screw tactical gun culture.

  • @GasmaskGorbachev762 You really need to watch more TNP videos to see where nutn is comming from. The way nutn trains with his weapon, weight is a legit concern. He is not all about just shooting for fun. Some of us actually anticipate that we may have to use our weapons for "business use", example katrina. If you just want to be a Rec. shooter and shoot from a bench, thats fine. But dont come in here a flame someone for actually wanting to be prepared to use his weapon in a real world scenario

  • An assault weapon could be a shovel, an axe, or a kitchen knife. There are military style semi and fully automatic firearms (not guns).

  • @freeheretic111 true... but if I'm going into some shit, I'd rather have a KTR- 08 than a *shovel* - LOL

  • steel RPK 40 rounder, huminahuminahuminahumina!

  • that gun is pretty

  • 8 miles of talk, before describing the gun? what's up with that?

  • @InsightHomewood welcome to TNP! -- Veri

  • @InsightHomewood that's the way it should

  • закомплексованные хохлы "изобрели" Вепрь...

    Американцы пошли дальше хохлов.

Удивительно почему он не раскрашен в "кислотные" цвета??

  • I'll get a SGL21 first, this will come later.

  • quit tryna talk smart homie haha

  • people are dumb who think people cant have guns, guns are meant for a bang. BUT for self defense dont be an idiot

  • it looks pretty well built id buy it if i had the money and saw one

  • looks like someone trying to turn an ak into an ar 15

  • that is probably the coolest lookin ak ive ever seen, id love to have that rail on the top.

  • If world war 3 happens, i`m going to your place. Seriously contact me sometime to do business. I got money.

  • no treath what so ever hmm yeah right why does america has the highest kill rate by guns

  • my rsx type-s can go 160

  • you want an accurate AK variant go for an Arsenal, they're the best i've shot so far. almost as accurate as an AR IMO

  • ammo prices have gone down significantly since the 08' election bythe way...

  • @SymAmineC8H11N really? where, id like to know.

  • what have you done to that ak i mean how could you get ride of the classic steel and wood and replacing it with that plastic

  • @gardencityentertain3 The Krebs never came with wood.

  • Hey Nutnfancy thank's again for this review. This krebs have some interesting gimmicks, but to me it seems to be "only" a pimped Izmash Saiga - and so it's very overpriced for this...

    Question:

Would it be possible, that you could do reviews and SH shootings on some G36/SL8 or civilian HK G3's? Im sure it would be very interesting for your european viewers....

    Greetings Gangleri

  • at 6:30 totoaly agree without a doubt

  • Great gun Nutnfancy but, if I was going to have to deal with that kinda weight I'd want a milled reciever. But thats just my point of view. When I get an Ak I usually like to get a more authintic weopon.

P.S. try out the Russian PK-AS r.d.s., I'm pretty sure thats what the russian military currently uses on the AK47m.

  • @Last1Left2324 The milled reciever offers no advantage over the stamped one. Arguebally, the thicker reciever on the krebs gun offers no advantage either.

  • The coolest gun ever will probably be a machinegun version of this gun, it's like this gun but with an ammo box attached
