  • Why do people call Lucas an amazing film maker? THX was lame,Graffiti was ok(overated!),Star Wars(1977) was fantastic(because he had A LOT of people helping) and the prequels were HORRIBLE. I'd say he got lucky. He's NOT a good director. He has good ideas that require the input of others(a HUGE amount of input actually) to make them good.

  • @Chrisdrumz A LOT of people help all successful directors throughout their careers. Whether you respect it or not, Lucas revolutionised cinema, and that is why he is considered an amazing film maker. Star Wars is THE movie. There are no other movies that have left the cultural impact that Star Wars has done.

  • @Chrisdrumz the main problem was (for the prquels) that nobody disagreed with anythign lucas said, thats why they suck

  • imo i dont hink he shud of got it

  • @conrod15reveiw His contribution to popular culture means he is one of the most significant individuals in film history. He was a game changer. Sure, people might hate some of his work. Or not see Star Wars as that great. But it changed things. And then to back it up with Indiana Jones. George Lucas shaped his generation and all generations that followed.

In my opinion, the two people whose contribution to film deserves acclaim more than anyone are Spielberg and Lucas.

  • @pbawesome1312 he also fucked them bought them up and lets not forget howard the duck theres far more desering in my honest opinion

  • damn one of his daughters is huge

  • Hey, "Trekiefreak777," I'm sure those Blu-rays are good in your delusional Star Wars / Star Trek geek mind. lol. You'll think anything just so Star Wars or Star Trek looks good to you.

  • @LukeLovesRose What I love about the internet is that people feel it's much more safe to insult someone behind their keyboard, but insulting me by just adding my name, and not linking it to me so I don't read your insult, is hilarious. You almost got away with your pathetic insult, when fate got me to reply to another coward, and I happened to read your remark.

    Life just get's better, lol.

And for the record, I was never a Star Trek/Star Wars geek, I made that username by impulse.

  • @Trekiefreak777

    You're an idiot.

Did you ever stop to think that I had a good reason not to reply to your comment directly?? Well, here's the reason, you child:

MY COMPUTER was not working properly.

Anyway, I stand by what I said. I think you're a child or an overgrown child and you need to grow up. You need to realize that phasers and lightsabers don't exist.

  • @LukeLovesRose LOL, you actually think I'm like that?

Before posting crap, I NEVER said I believed in that stuff. I just happen to like a movie version. Seriously, in what way did I say I was some nerdy twerp that believed in that bull?

    Think before you speak, "Child".

  • 5:18

That's what all dads are there for! :L

  • Ok. After the newest revisions to the Star Wars Blu-ray releases, anyone defending this fat fuck is delusional. This man is trying to rape what everyone loved about Star Wars.

  • @LukeLovesRose Speaking of fat fucks, after the all the bile that you spew on a daily basis, anyone who defends you is delusional too.

  • @LukeLovesRose Troll. The Blu-rays are actually good.

  • @LukeLovesRose Keep in mind. Without this "fat fuck" your beloved Star Wars wouldn't even exist. I don't think the Blu-rays are bad. As long as they don't change the story it's fine with me.

  • @Shyreenify

I hate Star Wars, now, more than ever. You're barking up the wrong tree, pal.

I'm a James Cameron fan. You might know that if you actually did your research. And, I still say that the AFI voters have really overrated this fat fuck.

  • Its crazy watching Spielberg and Lucas together while both of them are billionaires. Each of them owns at least 3.000.000.000$. This is so much cash, and just look at the two and you wouldnt know that there is so much money behind them, they look so innocent. Buy a Bentley, a castle and you still got 2.910.000.000$. Unbelievable that movie-makers get so much money.

  • LOVE YOU GEORGE, LOVE STAR WARS

  • has lucas done anything great except star wars and indiana jones? he did totally fuck up the fourth indiana jones.

  • George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are the best movie directors

  • Sorry for going off topic... but John Williams also deserves an AFI.

  • @OnlyFoolsAndHorsesHQ John Williams did indeed get an AFI for music. AFI declared the #1 theme in history to be STAR WARS WHOOOOOO

  • @OnlyFoolsAndHorsesHQ what's about martin scorsese?

  • @MayChild8 - he got one in 1997

  • He have always been my favorite director. And he still is.

  • George Lucas and Steven Spilberg, two amazing film makers.

  • @Revan196 And amazing men.

  • I would like to see Kubrick have got it too, and now Lynch Coppola and Polanski also. But nice Lucas got it.

  • 1:47-Harrison Ford "you see that? wonderful man"

  • spielburg should give back his award he is a murderer who killed vic morrow and 2 children

  • @spacepatrolman Because he produced Twilight Zone: The Movie? You're an idiot. Learn to spell if you want people to take you seriously.

  • @cjnick33 people like you that try to cover up fro child murderers like spielburg are usually idiots spielburg hired those children off the books and had them working off hours against child labor laws the prosecutors office didnt go after him because hollywood is a company town and the politicians are scared shitless of the jewish vote

  • @spacepatrolman LOL, are you retarded?

  • @Trekiefreak777 no are you and im not a trekie either

  • @spacepatrolman Wow, is that all you got.

    Moron...

  • @Trekiefreak777 fuck you speilburg went to the crime scene then ran away before the cops arrived next he is going to clean out a few banks and run away to israel you cant extradite somebody from israel

  • @spacepatrolman Wow. You are on pot, aren't you?

  • @Trekiefreak777 maybe you are i never took drugs

  • @spacepatrolman Well I really find that hard to believe, since your comments are the type of things high people will write.

  • is wooden dialogue considered bad? what does it mean?

  • what an amazing man. He has been my hero for years ,and my inspiration, to keep going, even when things get tough.

  • George Lucas and Steven Spielberg defined my childhood. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park were movies that probably changed my life.

  • The first 3 Star Wars were the best ones and Empire Strikes Back was badass back in the day. I hate bezzerwissers who say that George Lucas is a lousy director. He is right up there with Steven Spielberg who both have created so much magic it is almost unbelievable. May the force be with you!

  • Let's be honest. The S.W. films he directed were the worst ones. The only films he directed that were any good were THX 1138 and American Graffiti. Literally almost everything else he's done is crap His writing is crap too. Imaginative, yes, but not very good. It took someone as good as Spielberg to make Indiana Jones turns out well. I have nothing against the guy, but I don't get why people worship him. He seems like a nice guy and all, but as a film maker, he's incredibly overrated.

  • What did Harrison said?

  • Lucas - one of the best producers in history.

  • Lucas is the BEST!!!)))

  • ahhh they raped Indiana Jones!

  • no, im sorry, "star wars" is not one goddamn movie. i have the original trilogy, unaltered in content on VHS, and thats it. hell, even the third flick hasn't held up so great.

  • All those film people look so nice!

  • Tell me not one person in that audience thinks the original theatrical cuts of the Star Wars trilogy deserves a proper release on dvd and blu ray. There must be someone. Damn it.

  • One of my favorite director and I think one of the greatest. George Lucas is a director that he inspires me to do what I love to do, watch and make movies. He is someone I want to be not literally but the passion he has, I to want want to grow that passion and drive myself to my goal. He drives me and I look up to him. :) I thank him for the movies he's made. I love them so much. I salute you George Lucas.

  • In soviet russia...HE GIVES US AWARD!

  • mr. lucas is very funny ..wow i didn know that

  • The STARWARS movies are not even in my top 10 of Favourite movies...

I don't even call em movies...

    They are Audio Visual Monuments

  • I don't care what you think but this guy should have at least 50 oscrars at home

EVEN NOW he is THE MOST UNDER RATED ARTIST on earth such a shame

  • The fact that the prequels were BEYOND horrible makes viewing this quite cringeworthy. Let me tell you something, the prequels DIDN'T work, they were awful,EVERYONE knows it. It's a shame,a damn shame. Oh yeah, what's the last GREAT movie Spielberg made? Private Ryan? 13 years ago.

  • @Chrisdrumz What about Munich?

  • @Ridley44Lev Damn,I COMPLETELY forgot about that one. I never saw it,but given the subject I suspect Spielberg handled it well.

  • @Chrisdrumz That is my Number1 movie from Spielberg. He really handled it very well, as I see it, he gave both sides the right and wrong judgement.

  • @Chrisdrumz Chris what ONE GREAT film have you done? AND please tell us!!!

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Lol! Is that it? Well,i've never made a film. I've also never been a chef but I can tell a good meal from a crappy one.

  • @Chrisdrumz chris we all know you come from a colossal failure of a family...and again....what have you done? When you movie made 300 million plus..did you give it all away to the Shoah Foundation? Let me see..chris..ur great contribution has been stealing medication out ur mom's purse and masturbation. Keep up the great work chrissy.

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Wow. Here we go. Another big shot hurling insults over a keyboard. Go away little fella.

  • @Chrisdrumz

Dear God. Watch what you say to these insane SW fanboys. They got my post deleted, because I wasn't properly worshiping this gas bag of a filmmaker, responsible for raping my childhood with Jar Jar Binks.

  • @LukeLovesRose George Lucas is an awesome filmmaker and you have overate Camero, the prequels ha no real gross, meanspiited, or rushed moments and wre overall wel made films, also using things like rap whwn complaining about films is cheap!!!!!!!!!

  • @reviewreviewer1

It's not possible for Cameron to be "overrated" when there are so many whiny Star Wars geek fanboys like yourself out there to tear him down.

Yes, he has made money. Lucas made money. Do you really think the original Star Wars... even with its horrible revisions... has aged better than movies like Terminator 2?? Seriously??

  • @LukeLovesRose I said you overrate Cameron mostly in comparison too George Lucas, how am I any more of a fanboy or whiney then you, I unlike you never used childish, onoxious agressicve insulting or over the top expressions. I have nothing against Cameron because he is rich, I thin it`s great, in fact I think he is a great even the secondbest filmmaker, after George Lucas, but Lucas certainly is better, an yes ofcourse Star Wars aged better it had richer caracter, more complex stories etc....

  • Eugh, the prequels are so horrible. My dad watched them once and actually cried, never seen him do that before.

  • @baryon15 They weren't tears of joy?!

  • @Chrisdrumz ....

He threw away the copies and never watched them again, what do you think? His childhood/teenage years completely ruined by the greed of one man.

  • @baryon15 Your dad sounds like a very intelligent, level headed guy. He,like most people who indeed loved the first trilogy,KNEW the prequels were garbage and reacted as so.

  • You can tell how much Lucas looks up to Spielberg and loves the guy. If you look at Lucas's face. 0:49 It's the only time during the night where he genuinely looks moved, like he's going to cry.

  • Wonderful to see these two giants like this. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are both men I can only have genuine, great respect for.

  • Steven Spielberg is the king

  • @LukeLovesRose I find your lack of faith disturbing!

  • @Gasssolo

    I find your fanboyism disturbing.

  • @LukeLovesRose Uh LukelovesRose, I noticed well got the imopression you are always debating everytihing James Cameron makes is grear in every way and the opposite of Lucas your claim hear is flawed: because 1. uh Lucas also did many things outside from A New Hope and Graffiti like Story writing, overseeing and supervising excecutive producing co-screenwriting and secons unit and co-directing both V and VI, co-storywritinf and co-excecutive ptoducing Raiders of the lost ark, also he had THX!!!!!

  • @LukeLovesRose You say Lucas had only 2 great movies and he had 3 awfull ones, the prequls, but what about THX, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Episodes V and VI, I mean is making a film ony directing it, doesn`t supervising story writing, screenwriting, co-directing second unit directing and esxcecutive producing count?????????????? Also how where I, II and III bad, they showed therise iof the Empire the luife an fall of Anakin Skywlker, and had very rich plots and caracterss??

  • @reviewreviewer1

Ok, with that, I am going to end this conversation. It's been great talking to you. But, I think I have better things to do with my time. It's like you want me to help you root through George Lucas's scat for crying out loud. And I am NOT going to do that.

  • @LukeLovesRose Wait are you again indulting me because I like someone yoy don`t , jeez you always insult people becsuse they have a different opinion and overact with loiol and exclamation marks you truely are a troll!!!

  • @reviewreviewer1 Yes. Yes, he does. All the time. To everyone that he meets, really. You are not allowed to have a differing opinion with him. He won't allow it. He can't stomach it. Now, he can't give you a good reason to agree with him. BUT YOU MUST AGREE WITH HIM!!!

Yeah, Luke's an idiot. And, an asshole. And, as it turns out, he's ugly too.

  • in the beginning, Harrison Ford was like "hey! thats my music"

  • hey whats the song at 6:54?

it sounds like a techno remix

  • @mercury46 It's a remix from`the 80's, disco style, It's called Star Wars from the album Star Wars Galactic Funk made by Meco.

  • @Gasssolo yes! thank u :)

  • As Palpatine would of said, "everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."

  • min 3:55 "John Williams...right up there with Buddy Holly and the Drifters"

Fu%$ yeah George! Go "American Graffiti" on their asses!!!

  • A great moviemaking pair! And great friends as well. :) Very fitting that Steven got to give the award to George. :)

  • the greatest film makers of all time

  • To have Steven Spielberg be the one to deliver it, man that's huge!

  • I love how humble he is. Each time he starts to say something that kinda builds himself up he quickly follows it with a crack against himself. In a world full of arrogant bastards its very refreshing to see. I really like Quentin Tarintino, but imagine how he'd act about getting this reward. It irritates me how so many fans hate the guy. He's done a lot more good then bad. He's had a big impact on movies. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, ya ungreatful bunch of pricks! Anyway, excellent speech

  • @JDBCreations lol he fucked cinema over, him and spielberg ARE THE ONLY reason that the stupid Transformers 2. Goerge lucas is the reason that spielberg went from making awe-inspiring films like ET, to making speical effects focused blockbuster bs like the lost world, the war of the worlds. Goerege lucas is the reason this world is cursed with fagits like michael bay, roland emmerich. and his such a self indulgent idiot. what kind of moron can make a movie as bad as phantom menace seriosuly?

  • @malows1234 Question: Have you created a franchise that has spawned money with millions times the number of zeroes in its check? Nope. I'm not saying all the Star Wars movies were fantastic (most of them were really good), but the next time you go to the movies or watch a movie with mind-blowing effects..don't forget where they come from. Lucas was one of the people that made special effects a household phrase.

  • @MrArob29 dude thats what i said, i said he fucked cinema over. because if it weren't for lucas. we would have filmmakers like scorsese, coppola, altman, lynch shining as the brightest men. except for now we fagits like nolan, bay, cameron taking the big paychecks home and getting financing for whatever movie they want. while scorsese and altman need to work hard for little attention. ALL BECAUSE OF THE FAT ASS DOUBLE CHINNED MONEY HUNGRY TALENTLES ONE TRICK PONY FAGIT CALLED LUCAS.

  • @malows1234 Well....um.....all i can say to that is...FUCK YOU!!!

  • @darthspuds254 cause i am right>? lol if you disagree with me, then you dont know what your talking about.

  • @malows1234 George is and has always been very successful but if want to be a dueshe than have it your way.

  • @JDBCreations i could not have put it better.

  • I saw star wars as a kid & still love it after 36 years!

  • I almost clapped in applause at 1:15. At 3:30 in the morning.

  • as much as george can annoy me with changes and not releasing the original versions on dvd and blu-ray, i love the man!

  • If there is one thing i am happy for george lucas and steven speilberg is they got to witness their works become EPIC successes while they're alive! Unlike micheal jackson or corey haim, at least these two AWESOME directors are alive to witness star wars, idiana jones an any other of their successes become epic even today in 2010!

  • star wars is AWESOME!! Thank You Mister George Lucas for making them and for your speach, i plan to be the next you and persue my dreams of Film/Animation/Writing and others. your a nice dude (i liked when he said nice things about his wondeful children) and you're the reason movies are the way they are today. may you live a long goof live and May God Bless You. -Me

  • Thank you George for lots of fantastic hours I had watchin´ your movies.

  • As much as we hate him at times, we're all going to be sad for a long time when he's gone.

  • @bengraven No matter what he does I could never hate that man.

  • @taabuu2342 I like to think of it as: yeah, dad may have left mom when we graduated high school and is now married to a younger, dumber woman, but OUR CHILDHOOD WAS AMAZING.

  • "The Kind of wooden dialogue"

    Harrison liked that one

  • mr Lucas, please release the original versions of episodes 4-6 in dvd, in true digital remastered widescreen format.

  • @KRATOSRETURNSv2 blu-ray, anyone?

  • Id vote for these guys for presidents:>

  • mr,spielberg, ihave been to try to comunicate with you about a wonder story i wrote years ago. i can compare it like a big diamond that you could cut ,polish and t ransformate it in a marveleous brillant. i can imagine it in an animation movie with a splenderous message.meaby your best work. owuld you like¿

  • Steven, one of the best speeches! I love these directors, my childhood would not be the same without your films1

  • Why the fu%$ wasn't Coppola there ? I mean the guy gave Lucas his start in the biz.

  • It strange, I love the Star Wars universe, but the films aren't my favorite. I do enjoy the original trilogy, but there are plenty of other films I'd put before them.

For me, it isn't the films that make Star Wars special, but the whole world of it. If I could live anywhere other than Earth, I'd live in the Star Wars universe.

  • George Lucas is the Homer of our age. His story will be told and retold like classic Greek stories like the Illiad and the Odessey for millenia to come. Thanks George for keeping one small part of me young forever. No matter how hard times get I can always throw on SW and crack a smile.

  • Justicewalls, King Kong was far too long and far too boring for what it was. What Peter Jackson has dealt with good is adaptations and remakes. Lord of the Rings, King Kong, and The Lovely Bones. One of those were actually praised (looking at LOTR as one film). Originality isn't Pete's thing. Beside Heavenly Creatures, which he co-wrote with his wife, Fran, (my favorite of his), he's been more of a sophisticated Zack Snyder.

  • If I ever meet George Lucas, I will shake his had and say "Thank you for creating my 2 all time favorite movies of all time!!!!"

    1. The Chin

    2. Return of the Chin

  • @RideMyBMW That's mean, but yeah I have to agree! LOL It makes you wonder why, with all those millions he has, he does not get that chin tucked and tight. LOL

  • @tall32guy "The Chin" and "The Chin Strikes Back"...two of Lucas´ greatest masterpieces....XD!!! C´mon dude, its pretty fu$%in funny.

  • If I ever meet George Lucas, I will shake his had and say "Thank you for creating my 2 all time favorite movies of all time!!!!"

    1. Star Wars

    2. Raiders of the Lost Ark

  • He turns 66 2day

  • People who deserve the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award: Jodie Foster Morgan Freeman Anthony Hopkins Sean Penn Denzel Washington Susan Sarandon Samuel L. Jackson George A. Romero Kathy Bates Francis Ford Coppola Woody Allen Mel Gibson Sigourney Weaver Glenn Close
  • @lupoistheman1 and also Micheal J. Fox

  • Nice speech, Mr. Lucas! "Who in the world would come?"

  • As much as I adore Star Wars, I think they should have the AFI life achievement award to either Samuel L. Jackson or Susan Sarandon. Those two deserve an AFI Life Achievement Award. Why haven't they given one to Jodie Foster? Anthony Hopkins? Denzel Washington? Fuck, they didn't even give one to Paul Newman. How could they fuck up on that one?!! The guy is a god, he dies and you never gave him one?!! Jesus Christ! And who the fuck is Mike Nichols, the next recipient?

  • @lupoistheman1 they arent old enough

  • @sadowmellon,

How old do you have to be to recieve the AFI Life Achievement Award?

  • @lupoistheman1 i have no clue, at least 60 because u wouldnt give the Award to someone who is young even though they may have done a lot.

  • @sadowmellon Meryl Streep got it in her early 50's but then she's Meryl Streep. lol. She's had too many great roles in her career, that it made sense to give it to her.

  • @lupoistheman1 Even though Jodie Foster has had a great career as long as many of the people who get this since she started out well so young, she's still probably considered too young to receive it. Maybe in the 60's she'll get it. I think Anthony Hopkins and Denzel Washington I can definitely see getting it. I think Diane Keaton should get it next too. I don't think Woody Allen would show up to his. lol. He hates these things.

  • @lupoistheman1 you don't know who Mike Nichols is? You must be young. He's a legendary film director and stage director who has directed our greatest stars and made iconic films like The Graduate and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf ot name a few. He's directed Meryl Streep in several films too.

  • when steven spielberg called him out and george started walking towards the scene imperial march should've played :))

  • George Lucas has unlimited chins.

  • please George do not continue doing what you're doing, you ruined star wars with the new trilogy, do not direct any movie again please. thank God this guy didn't direct The Empire Strikes Back or The Return Of The Jedi.

  • "Thank you all for going to the movies... specially mine"

    LOL

  • For everybody who thinks that Peter Jackson is somehow better than George Lucas I ask you: Has Peter Jackson done anything successful besides LOTR, which was based on a novel? Has he had any original successes?

  • @Super8StrikesBack True but the LOTR trilogy is by far the best trilogy since the original Star Wars.

  • @Super8StrikesBack LOTR trilogy was thought impossible to be put on the big screen. Not only did Peter Jackson manage to do that, he created one of the best movie trilogies of all time, and more. Lucas won people over with the galaxy he created, not his film making talent - at least the prequels, whlie Jackson proved to be an excellent film maker. He also did the King Kong remake, which lots enjoyed too.

  • and personally PJ is just a more likeable person LMAO GL is a great writer and director, he just not the easiest guy to like

  • I love SW and the SW universe, but you certainly can't piss on P Jackson, I love the LoTR books but in the case of the 3 LoTR films its a case of the movie being better then the books IMO Peter Jackson brought a fantasy world from books and made it real for all of us, and hell yeah we'll be talking about in 20 yrs, the scope, the epicness, the feel and vision of LoTR films makes them unforgettable

  • such a nice speech

star wars is fucking amazing :)

  • @circasurvive04

    Oh my god, yes!

  • My final word: although there's a lot about George Lucas' films I DON'T like (the originals as well as the prequels - and yes, I am a die-hard Star Wars fan), the mere fact that we're discussing and celebrating Star Wars 30+ years after the first film came out, shows there must be something unique and meaningful to it. I wonder if in 20 years we'll still remember the Lord of the Rings with the same nostalgia we reserve for Episodes 4, 5 & 6, or any of the Hollywood crap that gets released today.

  • R.E. TheUllalume:

Give the man some credit, he wouldn't be where he is today without SOME talent. I think the one thing you can say about George Lucas is that he is a fantastically creative and inventive director - unlike Peter Jackson he created and moulded the universe of Star Wars entirely out of his thought, in addition to directing it - but writing isn't his forte, and neither is being an "actor's director." So the SW fans are great fun, but not necessarily well acted or written.

  • he is a big fat goat!

  • you misspelled "geeks" you anal cunt

  • great moment, what was harrison ford pointing to?? 1:46

  • @Solcius117 He was pointing to George hugging Carrie Fisher, you can even make out some of his words "He's a great man" or something very similar.

  • Nice words George...but life imitates art when your kids belong on Moss Eisley...Booom!, ya Nerfhurder.

  • the worlds best and producers just being in place is written in history

  • "He never gave up on me. He took me from not being able to write a word for to be a king of wooden dialogue"

Funny! Mr. Lucas is very humble and not afraid of laughing at himself. He is very true to himself and despite being a little control freak, a genuine person and a genious in film industry. Without him, the world would be a a slightly more boring and a lot less entertaining place. Thank you for your work thus far, Mr. Lucas.

  • George Lucas, for all his weirdness, does manage to put on a humorous and self-effacing face for these things. Bravo George--those three movies are totally worth it!

  • SHHHHH just SHHH I'm sorry that I woke the beast within..... Just stop embarrasing yourself and shhhh. Btw I like how you use other peoples opinion to prove a point (southpark reference) Just SHHHHH no more. Go play WOW and SHHHH

  • Again just SHHHH

  • "Putting Hayden Christensen at the end of episode 6 is just wrong on so many levels. "

That's a small thing, he did far worse.

  • "John Williams... He is right up their with Buddy Holly and the Drifters..." LOL :)

  • When George Lucas dies, people will remember him and LOVE him, just like Michael Jackson. Most people hated MJ, but when he died: All was forgiven.

Many people take for granted what GL did, not just Star Wars but to Hollywood and filmmaking. Its because of GL, AVATAR was made.

  • WHAT??!!! Who the hell...... What kind of........ Oh shut up!!! It's sad to see morons like you trash talking two of the most talented people in movies. I'm sorry sir that your versions of those movies were never made but they did not ruin those sagas. ARRRRG just keep your stupid comments to yourself ARRRG!!!!!

  • Ok ....

    1) The appeal of STAR WARS was it's story and the incredibly high-tech SPECIAL EFFECTS (learn to spell moron). These EFFECTS were way before their time in 1977. Yes is took more heart to get those special EFFECTS to look real. However, there was no way he could put his full vision of those battles, of Yoda fighting, or of the hundreds of different species he created without the help of CG (a technology ILM helped create). Now I agree certain parts of Ep. 1-3 annoyed me(*cough* JAR JAR).

  • No, no, no, no. Perhaps if you could understand the fanbase behind the original star wars, you could better understand why we tend to frown upon them changing it, and then making the crappy prequals. The insult to injury was putting that turd who played darth vader at the end of episode 6. He wasn't some young kid when he died. Its really funny that you call people idiot for disagreeing with your opinion, it really shows your maturity level here. Good luck with that in the future.

  • How do you knoww he wasn't a young kid? did you wirte it? Wow, I thought GL was the one who wrote these stories. HA!! Actually you are wrong sir I can stand peopple going against my opinion, I actually love that. People with different opinions are what make life great. However, morons who go commenting about things they have little knowledge of , wait let me rephrase that. However, morons who have no knowledge and comment about things(anythings) annoy the crap out of me.
