  • what pound line do u guys use and what kind of rods?

  • @buzzbaseball11 6lb test green stren - 10 to 10.5 med light action . gander mnt guide series and a cheap riverside rod

  • Are you in N.Y.?

  • @MrRichyvon western new york

  • someone explain why this guy is arguing politics on a fishing video

  • Why the hell you let them go? Just fish what you need to eat. There are too many wounds on those fishes already. Don't you find the is risk of bakteria and parasites.

  • @waterfowlspecialist what?

you mean catch 3 put them on the stringer and leave 30 minutes after i got there?

    you can't be serious

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE Why do you fish then?

  • @waterfowlspecialist its something Ive always enjoyed doing -- i like fishing.. here in america we can go get food anytime we want from the grocery store cheaper than the cost of gas ,bait, tackle i take it your not a big fan of catch & release

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE Is it illeagal to take fishes with you? All the waste of money and stressed fish just to let them go. I think it would be nice to take 1-5 fish with you, and put some to the freezer or just salt. If you just "sea salt" them they will be fine in 24h and we call it "gravlax" or "salted salmon". And you can eat it just like that or put it on bread. Or smoke / make one for soup or oven in same day. Why to shop manipulated food when you can take all this from the pure nature?

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE And I know your culture damn well. Unfortunately your way to consume have reached all the world already. Capitalism is cancer of the world. No I'm not a communist I'm a realist. We all are doomed while the nature cannot produce as much we take. And your countries are doing nothing to shift down that way of life. Do you love your non-democratic country? You are slaves of money and your system uses you. You cannot live without it. You need to find your way out and fight.

  • @SuperTwinkie59 wax worms / bee moth larva

  • ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE my bad lol

  • RROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE is awesome

  • Love some trout fishin, great vid man

  • in baltics we use our knife and our grill to ´´handle them´´

  • you guys fishing in a river in ny? salmon river?

  • @drmmr456 in ny but on the western end of lake ontario

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE hey I am not defending guides around your area, maybe they suck at fish handling too, especially if they handle fish like you. But there you go again calling names and acting like your 5 years old. Just show the fish some respect, think about it. that's all I'm asking.

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE That's too bad then... "most" certainly isn't the way fish are handled out here in Alberta. Please read up on proper fish handling, do not handle fish by their gills, do not hold them suspended by their heads (damages internal organs), do not slide them down ice, and do not THROW them back, gently release them! This is a horrible display... please, for the sake of the fish, do some research into fish handling, instead of just justifying it by saying your handling is OK.

  • @Mainland444 i don't know what your watching but mike and i never hold fish by they're gills and we release the trout gently - go hate on someone else

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE and at 2:57 you just toss it back it without letting it catch a breath first. yep... great job guys. keep on making vids of what NOT to do. I'll send my clientelle here to watch the wrong way to release and handle fish.

  • @Mainland444 clientelle ??? you mean you run a gay bath house or something - i smell peta member here

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE No. I am a fishing guide. I treat fish with respect. Unlike you. You can't even take criticism with a grain of salt and use it to improve your attitude and maybe perhaps the way you treat fish; instead, you start to lay down personal attacks on people calling them names. Grow up.

  • your fish handling is assinine. might as well just take these fish home... over 50% probably died in this video anyways. horrible.

  • iceland is the best!!

  • do you guys ever take the fish home to eat?

  • @kooshkack once in a while we keep some panfish or a few trout to smoke but for the most part we let bigger fish go

  • well done on some beautiful fish. respect for letting a few of them go as well.

  • you guys are lucky I can't wait to get my first Brown Trout :) I just wish my dad could be with me when I finally get it :'(

  • cool

  • nice fish man

  • is that at burts dam?

  • @XooBONES yep -the dirty burt

  • @Wossha i'll bet the blondes are hot too

  • what kind of fish is at 1:47?

  • @jk22222sd male brown trout

  • what kind of fish is at 1:47?

  • do the yellow and orange berkley trout nuggets work at all

  • @madfishinskillz i never got any on the trout nuggets but the chartreuse berkley power eggs work good at times

  • For 2 pounds trout fillets, add: 1/4 cup butter, melted 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons honey 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/8 cup barbecue sauce 1/8 cup beer [Mix ingredients before you leave home] Fillet is then marinating for 20 minutes; Tinfoil wrap over bbq / pan fry on the Coleman with [little] olive oil. Breadcrumbs are also excellent but messy in a pan unless you bring steel wool. Clams on the half Hors d'œuvre and stream chilled Beer.
  • very nice shoot look "videos pathebest01" @+

  • whens the best time to catch trout

  • @jordan12328 october thru aprils good but if i had to pick a month for trout it would be november

  • that massive trouts dead lol

  • hey, do u think i could take a decent steelhead with 4lb test? or would i have to use some of my heavier tackle?

  • @MrAmazincatch we use 4lb fluorocarbon leaders at time when the waters clear. as long as you have a good drag and a rod matched up for light line you should be fine.we get 20-30 lb salmon on 6lb test

  • @MrAmazincatch

That looks like and awesome place to fish! Nice Brown!!

Arizona has some nice spots, smaller fish, but much warmer. youtube.com/user/almalfish?feature=mhsn

  • @MrAmazincatch i do it all the time. i use a 10ft noodle rod to absorb the shock and keep the drag set somewhat loose. you may have to chase it if it blows the hole and heads downstream. you also have to take the current into consideration.

  • @Nikostinko scares the crap out of me too - but living in the buffalo newyork area you get used to it

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE Hi, I'm from Ottawa Ontario. Can you tell me how to get there? Just out of curiosity, will the first fish die since there is a hook in it's throat?

  • @megamunchit2008 how to get there? just mapquest - burt ,ny - fishermans park

sometimes fish die - we removed the hook before releasing -not shown in video- fish seemed ok without any bleeding.

sometimes its best to leave the hook in if its in deep - will fall out or or deteriorate eventually - fish has a fair chance of survival

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE One more question. I was able to do a map search on Burt, New York, however, is it difficult to find that creek you guys were fishing at? And thanks by the way. I have never caught a salmon or a trout and would really like to try.

  • @megamunchit2008 its 18 mile creek that empty's into lake Ontario at olcott newyork.

    salmon are there oct -dec

.brown trout, steelhead and rainbows oct thru mid april

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE I'm sorry to bother you so much, I actually have one more question. Since I'm a Canadian, will I need an American license to fish there? Thank you for taking the time to help me.

  • @megamunchit2008 a newyork license is required but to tell you the truth its not a place i'd make a special trip to - very crowded

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE Darn, I guess I must look elsewhere. Those were some gorgeous fish you guys caught though.

  • hey i was wondering where you guys were fishing because i like fly fishing and i wanted to try it out?

  • @younganglers western newyork 18 mile/burt dam

  • Huge trout!! (。・艸・。)

  • You guys are great-- It's great to see you representing what is right in my backyard great job guys

  • urgh, please don't hold fish that big up out of the water by their gill flaps, they may swim away fine, but their survival rate is severely reduced by doing that, imagine someone picking you up by your neck whilst you flip and flap around, you're going to damage your soine, same thing with the fish, use a net or two hands please, having said that, I'm super jealous of those fish, they're beautiful, especially those big browns!

  • @danebrewer10 i've been trying to teach that to my brother but he's set in his ways - he learned the gill flap holding thing from the in fisherman show

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE alas TV has much to answer for these days! I hold the fish like that with it still in the water if I'm pike fishing as with lures and trebles they get stuck in the mesh of the net and its just a pain makes releasing the fish much easier on it, but I always have a small folding net when I'm after trout or grayling... is that public fishing or are you members of a club? almost all of the water is owned by clubs round where I live, and the chalk steams are hellishly expensive

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE who cares

  • @danebrewer10 I find if you hold the fish down with your foot and just yank the line till the hook rips out is the best way, this way your hands dont smell like fish when youre rolling a celebration joint after kicking the fish in the water!

  • can you please give me the address of this place?????

  • @IsmailLomidze rt 78 burt ny

  • nice catfish

  • awesome!!!

  • no shit thats awsome i slam salmon in oak orchard from late august till about late october

  • is that oakorchard creek

  • @soggytoast89 although we do fish the Oak - its a creek further west

  • what lake/river is at?and what state?

  • what kind of bait did you use ?or it just bit the bare hooks?

  • @meddavid123 they do bite on plain jigs but we tip them with waxworm grubs

  • hey where are u guys fishing and what are u using i need to know

  • @Grimes1313 using marabou jigs at a lake ontario tributary

  • good fishing

  • what is this place called?

  • about seven pounds? awsome

  • DO THEY STILL CHARGE YOU 2 BUCKS A HEAD TO "PARK" THERE?

  • @pepeto301 yes they do but they were closed for the season when we fished this day

  • down here in california there is a lake called amador look it up on google it is in amador county and close by roseville CA it has these trout called cutbows there a mixed trout part rainbow, steelhead, and cutthrot.

Natural trout mature in 4 years and weigh in around 1.5 pounds. The Donaldson Trout matures in two years and weighs in at a whopping 10 pounds! These superior trout thrive at Lake Amador. The fight these fish put up will thrill any angler!

  • can i come?

  • @glenandgibbert sure why not

  • awesome fishing , nice trout ! i wish we had that kind of water in the netherlands .

  • @modernwarfare456 marabou jigs tied on basic round lead head jig hooks

  • @BassAnglerMike33 you will find stoneflies in rivers all year round and plenty of other insects, like midges can also be found in rivers all year round! Lets say zebra midge black or red will work in winter time on trout. Ice Stonefly will work great in winter too. Now Jigs and buggers/streamers are great flies to use and I catch steelheads on salmon river ny on jigs all the time you just have to keep in mind to keep the jig of the bottom maybe 1 or 2 feet above the rocks/bottom.

  • did you guys let the jig drift? or twitched it every now and then?

  • @FishboiFishboi we twitch then let it drift a few feet

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE

    aright thanks for the tip

  • wow! in which state was this?

  • @dzhotdog it was new york

  • i fish the grand river for browns. this has some of the best brown trout fishing in north america to give you an idea. the fish are big and they hit like no tomorrow

  • do you guys ever strip streamers at them ????

  • nice fish

  • beautiful fish go trout fishing ya

  • wow where is this?? please respond.

  • when i saw this vid last year it made me wanna go fishing in the little stream near my house. it was about 34degrees and i was fishing with worms. didnt get a single nibble the whole time =(. any suggestions what i did wrong? he seems to do good in the cold

  • @mobgripone its a little stream

  • when i saw this vid last year it made me wanna go fishing in the little stream near my house. it was about 34degrees and i was fishing with worms. didnt get a single nibble the whole time =(. any suggestions what i did wrong?

  • Nice video, but I live on Vancouver Island and I've fished here for long time and those things you are calling Coho's arent the same fish we call Coho out here.

  • thanks for the video you guys are real fishermen

  • @BassAnglerMike33 certain mayflies and stoneflies are believe it or not known to hatch throughout the winter

  • I think your definition of Coho may be off, they look like Atlantic jacks, but certainly different than what we call Coho out West.

  • @ohdawg47 the salmon up by the dam were definitely coho /silver salmon .they have white gums.

the world record coho comes from lake ontario ,same place these small ones came from.

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE I researched it and you're right, they were introduced into the great lakes.

  • nice vid i caught my first trout about a week ago... AN 8 INCH BEAST!!! lol

  • vere is this???

  • thanks for realeasing=P

  • @HolyWarhead you would hate me... brown trout??? yummy!!!

  • sigh......oh spin casters......

  • @burnie2000 gay

  • Nice one at 5:40

  • This video is awesome, i fish up at miracle mile wyoming, never at this time of year but you should definetly do a video up there in the winter, you guys nail the fish, good vid!

  • were are u guys fishing exactly wut river???

    thanx

  • Nice fishing and beautiful fish. Did you let that salmon at 1:40 go with the jig still in his throat?

  • @9999Monster we were able to remover the jig from the brown trout ae1:40 but sometimes it's better to leave it in if its hooked deeply - hooks rust out quick and wounds heal
