Before you asks for a raise:

1. Impress your boss by doing extra work

2. If any employee asks you for help, you have to agree and help. Then, explain to your boss that you have helped them quite a lot.

3. Refresh your face expression. If you are not in a good mood when you meet your boss, always try to be cheerful at all times.

4. Finish your work faster than normal. Your boss might be impressed

he last two managers where I work asked for raises last year. They were denied and gone in less than three months. If you ask for a raise, the CEO will say no. Then, he will pile work on your.. more than you can handle. Finally, your out for not performing.
