I don't think it's actually owned by WMG, if the original author was smart, it's the author that gets to say if the song can stay up or not. Not, the company. That's where retaining copyright ownership of the song comes into play. Monkey Island was actually produced by Lucas Arts anyway. WMG is pretty much sticking there noses where it doesn't belong.
