see ...cute as they are ...in my country (britain) grey squirrels arnt the native species ....red squirrels are ....the larger grey kills the red in competition for food ..so if you catch one you are technicaly not allowed to release it back into the wild

Theres a 'la quinta' hotel in orlando florida (with an awesome heated pool I might add) where these things lived in the courtyards palmtrees. If you can believe it they were twice as friendly as this guy. The "give me a pretzel and ill sit on your knee" kind of friendly. I guess it was the years of people feeding the things but one ran into our room and stood up on the blanket until we hand-lifted it out. And there were tons of em!

i once had a black squirel running to me and climbing on me... i think he thought i was his mother or something.. i couldnt get rid of him...

i had to put im in a small cardboard box with a loose top and run away to let him go on his own... i left a bunch of seed and peanuts in the box for him.. i hope he managed to survive :O!
