  • From the land of earthquake, tsunami & nuke pollution.

I saw Pete all the way back in 1978 when he was playing with the late Lester Flatt band.

I remember he sang this tune at Pinnacle - NC festival. Great.

  • This man is the best upright bass player I've ever seen in my life.

  • If God came down from heaven and played a song, well, sir, this song would be that song.

  • I loved is!!!! the only thing that bugged me was that the audio was off sync with the video.

  • A great version of this song.

    fiddlebob

  • oh my god!

their music is good... the bluegrass bass, the banjo...

    great!

  • 6 ****** from me!

  • This is wayyyy to0 dope!! the bass solo was too siick!! :) this video made my day

  • Everything about this video is laughable... except for the music.

But, seriously, where the hell was this taped? It looks like some public access station decorated with the latest in clearance items from K-Mart.

  • See you people who have no respect for music. And just because they are dressed in cool attire you BS it. If you dont like it then dont listen to it.

  • What great work, I keep coming back to this over the months to listen to it... has this group released this recording commercially?

  • I hear ya! Can't say how many times I've been back to view this. Over and over! Wish I had some more details on an audio track.

  • OUTSTANDING !!!!

  • you gentleman are telented players! bass solo made my day!

  • Yeah and its also a fretless bass even harder to find the notes i loved that solo as well.

  • Been a long time since I last saw Pete. He was playing bass for Lester Flatt in Oakboro NC along with Marty Stewart playing mandolin that was in the late 70's. Pete has a distinct sound and does a great job on the Muleskinner Blues as well. Glad to see that Pete is still kicking and playing grass.

  • Great Playing. 5 Stars

  • hm, im usually not into this but those guys have it! whoever posts vids like that should get a bonus from somewhere, somewhat. well whatever

  • Who said you cannot improve on a song!

  • very nice

  • i hate that guys voice. pretty good playing though

  • Marvelous. Does anyone know if this group has any albums out?

  • Everybody must be listen .Wonderful.Go to the world tour.

  • why does everyone play the animals version? hell yea the animals rocked with their song, go look it up, and im adicted to their fricking song...but ive been looking for so long for the other version, and its nowhere

  • Great job!

  • I think its a fantastic version.

  • very impressive guys... awesome job

  • fricken rednecks you killed the song

  • seriously man if you had a passion for music you'd understand how impressive playing those instruments at that pace with a classic tune is.. so just do us a favor and stick to your emo punk rock whatever the fuck it is

  • Pete Corum used to play bass for the late, great Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass. I have always wondered what happened to him. Glad to see he is still burning up the bluegrass!

  • Kudos to the bassman. He is fantastic. I echo the comments of cowboysinger and Kingofmean. This is a super version of a song made popular by the Animals many years ago.

  • super bluegrass music and song

    greets from germany

    hufflüsterer bernhard

    the hoofwhisperers,

    original german bluegrass music

  • talent...

  • Damn goood version of that song. For all the posters with negative comments, you don't obviously know shit about Bluegrass music.

  • Really great!

  • The mandolin dude looks like frasier

  • This song is by Huddie Ledbetter an American Icon. He wrote over 200 songs. He is in the song righters hall of fame. If this song bring atention to him you have my blessings. Ledbelly as he was nick named died a poor man. His song made millions for the Animals Clapton to mention only a few. Take some time and check him out. you will be glad you did. His compelling story was told on a PBS movie.

  • Good picking but leave this one alone and for the record this is not a Britih song. It was wrighten by Hootie Ledbelly Who all so wrote The Midnight Special.

  • bloody yanks trying to copy a true great british song, pathetic.

  • Haha, house of the rising sun is about new orleans... it doesn't have british origins AT ALL. It is a traditional american blues.

  • the beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, pink floyd, etc. all started out copying what, now?

  • hot and sweet.

  • is that doogie howser on mandolin?
