Learn to play an iron-time with your non-dominant hand and flourish with your dominant hand. Don't bang away at the fucking bass and cymbals to drown out your beats and rhythms. ...Here I am, sitting with a 1993 19" Sabian Crash thats severely cracked, like almost half gone. And my gnarly 1993 Pearl Export drum kit. Can't afford a new kit, or even a crash cymbal. And this douche-bag is smashing a perfectly amazing brand new Pearl kit and expensive Sabian Cymbals, and not to even mention my hardware issue. Fuck this asshole. I personally can't stand this..

if you're desperate for good gear why don't you apply for endorsements? They're not being assholes. They're getting paid a bonus, it's a job. Something everyone has (unless your me and you are a student). Be grateful for what you have. You don't need an acrylic kit with 10,000 cymbals in the chromatic scale. There are drummers who use crappy gear and sound awesome.

@StalwartChris I'm 15, so most endorsements are out of the question. I don't want an acrylic set, or many cymbals I just want gear that sounds good. Some crappy gear sounds alright, but not mine. The only crash cymbal I have is almost have gone. That and I play in a metalcore band which isn't a very expansive genre unless you want cliche truth drums. I still can't this act though. I refinish drum sets by hand (remove wrap, apply stain, lacquer etc) and if I saw a customer do this to a set

@masterdrummer001 of drums that I did, I'd make them rebuy the finish because the stains aren't cheap. And I wouldn't consider it a job. I make 50 bucks a kit and I've only done 3 kits including mine. :P

I have videos on my channel of my refinished kit, ride cymbal and crash. haha.

I am also 15 and I have a kit I've saved up for since I was eight years old and I have cheap Sabian XS20's to A Customs and I have to say there are amazing brands such as Agean and Dream going around now and Istanbul who make cheap cymbals but equal quality to Zildjian or Sabian. I can play on any kit and make it sound good with a drum key. Sheet cymbals are also great I find.

but ik what you're saying. i used trx cymbals and they're sick. i can make most drum sets sound good because i've been drumming for 12 years and this kit isn't refurbished. he said in an interview that he used a custom reference series kit on this tour which refurbished or not, i still hate this.

It's an alright cover. But its too bad that he's doing a cover of Plant's late versions of this song where his voice isn't nearly what it used to be so he doesn't even attempt the high notes. The sad thing is that Plant can still sing it better than this guy. You really need a good voice to be able to cover a Zep song and sound good, IMO.

As much as I don't like Jason Bonham, I do know that he knows how to count the intro. If you don't know that the opening drum fill starts on the + of 3, it's easy to perceive it as starting on the 1. If the drummer feel it starting on the + of 3, and the band feels it as starting on the 1, it's pretty obvious that they're not going to come in together. The band just came in when they saw the crash hit, rather than by knowing where the count is, giving a sense of "open mic" to this song.
