The way Chris Flare starts his flares... is that easier than the way these tutorial videos are teaching you? Cause I know that it's the way gymnasts start, correct?
I followed the instructions exactly, but no matter what, I fall as soon as my left hand touches the ground, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong >.<
@LegionofDeath100 flares nor any move is just do as ur told and u will get it. conditioning is involved. trust just keep doing it u will get stronger and i know its hard to believe but it WILL come
@generaljive every bboy will tell u this. its good experience. look at all that crazy moves and shit out there. if u think about what ppl do with there bodies its craygee man!! when they first tried it it probs wasnt possible but sumhow you make it possible. also i can flare now and im tellin u i was once a fat shit who cdnt even do 1/4 of a flare. i believe man u can do it
@iamaprimate okay so don't you need certain prerequisites before even attempting a flare? how about the hip flexors, groin muscles, flexibility for the splits, etc.
What training did you do prior to achieving a flare?
windmills i guess and foundation. lots of people realise this but if you have foudation you will realise everything is linked. what you said is all part of conditioning. but for now you need to get the feeling and experience for the move. keep doing keep doing keep doing. simple as. thats not to say i havent seen ppl learn flare first
@HowToDanceForFree Kick hard with your right leg and remember to shift the body weight to the opposite arm of the first arm used to balance. And also practice windmills. I can't do the flare but did one because of the body weight shifting and being able to do windmills help.
Ooh, Lift your left leg higher when you come around again. That's if your going clockwise. I have the same problem. I forget to lift my legs higher after the 1st round.
