  • 8000 subs and no new video in 5-months?

  • @MrSchpankme I have a lot going on.

  • Why should the travel of the bolt be longer? Didnt they just cut the barrel down so it doesnt make any difference? They didnt change the action. Maybe i dont understand you because im german^^?

  • Nice rifle

  • cool!!!

  • being a left handed shooter, do you think the Garand would still be a viable platform? because i would like to look into one and/or a m1 carbine.

  • @birthdayboy102938475 Yes! Get the rail for it and put a pistol scope on it and you have a bad ass scout rifle.

  • very nice

  • That is a beautiful rifle. I personally really like the look of laminate stocks. Being .308 is the internal mag sensitive to C.O.O.L or can you load them long and be good to go? Thanks for the vid.

  • @jetfuel545 You can load them a little longer but it's throated tight. So in this rifle if you seat the bullet beyond 2.810" you're going to jam the bullet in the lands and grooves.

  • i dont care what anyone has to say that blah blah blah it's not a real m1 unless it shoot .30-06 or the stock sucks. who cares it is still one bad ass rifle. it's the only rifle i know that uses CLIPS that become part of the mag.

  • wow thats rifle is a looker!

  • nice

  • nice rifle, thanks for posting

  • The ONLY bad part about shooting an M1 is chasing your brass afterwards.

  • Beautiful rifle. ;)

  • Very nice rifle but I don't care much for the stock. Orange and green looks ridiculous... as if a colorblind person painted it.

  • @KiloSierraAlpha It's the way it came. I was thinking of getting another stock but it would have to be fitted and glass bedded. I already have $2300 in it.

  • @ammosmith Can it be painted? Just a coat of something brown to mute the orange & greed a bit. Maybe even duracoat.

    That's a badass rifle tho! :) I'm a huge fan of M1 Garand and M14. I own them both.

  • @KiloSierraAlpha In my opinion, it looks good. When you pay that much for a rifle, maybe its good that it doesn't look like every other rifle out there...but maybe that's just me.

  • @KiloSierraAlpha it's a laminated stock. as you may know it's not painted. also its far more durable than a walnut stock and provides better accuracy

  • good old m1 garand

got to love when a rifle that has been used by the US for so long its known as the rifle of the US

but it was designed by a canadian :P

  • @camerl2009 It really didn't serve that long. Phased out in the late 50's. Only used for parade drills and matches since. Only a couple hundred were issued in vietnam.

  • @MnTrucker1984 if you think about it its still in service the m14 is a redesign pretty much

  • @camerl2009 Yeah its kinda close. But its still in service. And there's less then a 1000 in service. And most of them are re-engineered into the MK14 EBR or the M39. Same guts as the original M14, but that's as close as it gets. If you look and longevity of use, the M16 is going on 50 years.

  • @camerl2009 A Canadian who had a skating rink in his house at that.

  • @ammosmith lol

  • @ammosmith And a french speaking Canadian at that, so when the Mle. 1917 RSC (and later 1918) rifle came to the armory for study in the US Garand was chosen due to his abilities and language skills.

Funny that the “all American” rifle has a direct lineage to a French rifle via Canada.

The early prototypes by Garand even have the enlarged bulbous cocking handle of the 1917.

Don’t fret the laminated stock that wood from Rutland is great laminate and tough.

  • that is a very nice rifle buddy
