Oh noooo...why did you add sound? To anyone asking, the original is silent and silent it should stay in my opinion. At least the dvd version I saw was silent.

I first saw this film as an impressionable 14 year old (thanks to my local film society). It's effect was terrible (I took up smoking) but not permanent (I insisted on French cigarettes only, which soon defeated me). It also gave me a lasting love of flowers. And it has haunted my imagination, beautifully, for the rest of life. I say a little prayer to St Genet!
