  • What pads did you use for the event?

  • @cncmastr Don't remember what I was using then. Now I use Hawk DTC-60 in the front, and DTC-10 in the rear

  • @usmcspeedy Cool. any issues?

  • @cncmastr No issues at all (now). Installed steel-braided brake lines, removed dust plates, and now run Castrol SRF fluid - brakes like a champ - stock rotors, stock calipers. Only thing is that the DTC-60's will be a little rougher on the rotors. Hope that helps.

  • wait till you see my 2002 mr2 spyder out there... hah

  • man i want to hear the motor, not dumbass rock music..

  • @dolebanana12 LOL... OK, check out some of my other vids :)

  • ohh man,i just to go to the homestead track just for drag but this is fun too. congrats nice vid.

  • @morenoaka47 Dude, tracking is awesome! Drag racing is fun for what... 12 seconds? We're on the track for 30 to 45 minutes at a time! Come join us - we post every track event for every club here in FL = TrackWeekend (the website)

  • i was thinking about either getting a 2000-2002 clk430 or clk55 for homestead. but how is the reliability of the m3? on the track!

  • Hey man, if you're looking to get a track-dedicated car the M3 is near the top of the list. I've been to many track events and I rarely see a Benz out there, mostly because they weren't built to be beaten on at the track like an M3. For the money, the M3 gives you the biggest bang for your buck. You can't go wrong with the M3. My buddy is selling a 2005 Competition package M3 like mine on the video. Let me know if you're interested.

  • the 5.5 can take a beating and push hard (especially on a W202 body hehe). just remember to get a good suspension set up and you'll be running with the M3's. M3 is a fantastic car, love that inline 6 sound...

  • Erica wants to know what kind of speeds you get up to on that track? AND...how many h-pees you have in car?

  • Hey Jay, speeds vary depending on the track. At Homestead I may hit 120, Sebring 135, and I did about 155 on the NASCAR banks at Daytona. But the straights is not what's fun - it's the turns, trying to keep that rear-end in place.

Running about 360 hp. Between you and I (and the rest of YouTube), I hit 180 mph on a very long and desolate straight road.

  • Nice Los! That looks like it was a blast! Was that a Ferrari at 2:25?

  • It sure was; All 500+ horsepower-glory of it too. Next time you're down here I'll have to take you out there. This weekend is Sebring Raceway. Videos coming after this weekend!

  • @Scrappy222 Yes.

  • No, I can't make it, scheduling not possible. I'll be at Homestead on April 11th with "Hooked on Driving and again with "Chin" on July 18th. I've got a few videos posted...check them out. Hope to see you at the track.

  • Nice Video...What group do you run in Chin? Do you know what your lap times are? I run a Shelby GT (#45) with Chin, I last ran about 1:49 @ Homestead. I made some upgrades, so I hope to be faster next time out. By the way, nice camera angles.

  • Thanks man! I run in the intermidiate solo group with Chin. Have no clue what my lap times are, but it feels like I'm getting faster :)

We'll be at the next Chin event at Sebring on Sunday April 19th. Are you going? Check out our full track schedule on the TrackWeekend website!

  • Damn I want to go racing. Nice vid!

  • Come out with us to the track and bring that ///M3! full track schedule at TrackWeekend website! Join us!

  • were you there on sunday also?

  • Nope, just Saturday. 3+ hours was good enough for me :) What about you?

  • just sunday, it figures... i posted some better moments, check them out when you get a chance

  • Hey Carlos, I was driving the Orange 350Z, if you have me on tape while in front of you please upload it I want to see my line from your angle  I was with street tires this time so I changed few things to keep the car on track!

  • Awesome video, I had allot of fun at the Chin event, thanks bro!

  • Great video and perfect weekend. I was there in the Green Group (Novice). Thanks for posting such a nice video.

  • Nice vid! The different camera angles are great. I am also glad you had slicks so you could keep up this time. Next stop Sebring and turn 17, bring it son

  • Yeah, it was hard keeping up with you on the grass at Turn 10 - LOL. We'll try it again at Sebring :)
