@brucehudson Sweet. Just moved to Vancouver and looking for some hills to sprint up in the downtown/west end/kits area....will defo check this out! any others you know of ? or steep streets that aren' t that busy ....? thanks!
@88steffje Awesome! There is a good hill at Spanish Banks that leads up to UBC's Chan Centre (its about 2km). Also for a great stair workout check out the Wreck Beach Stairs. Enjoy :)
@jaffacec Exactly! The beer is not for me, was for all the people that came out. A pretty reasonable reward for a hard day's work I'd say. If you don't deserve a beer then when do you!?
@jaffacec Seriously? You're still talkling about "burining calories" in relation to fat loss/fitness? Caloric expenditure is not a significant factor in any fat loss/fitness endeavor. Caloric expenditure is minimal in all but a few arhletic activities. Think hormones/muscle mass......not calories in/calories out. The calories lie has been with us since the middle of the 20th century. No one has gotten fit/lean by restricting or "burning" calories.....EVER.
@mensacyclist for fat burn, it's all about calories in vs calories out, ask any bodybuilder getting ready for contest, however i'd agree with you when it comes to fitness it has nothing to do with it, fitness is about making the cardiovascular system adapt and making the heart stronger which hill sprints are just amazing for
@jaffacec You can believe in that myth if you want to (despite the fact that there is a 50 +year old mountain of emperical evidence against it). As far as bodybuilders cutting for competition....A.) they rely mostly of DRUGS like Clenbuterol, and B.) whatever extreme levels of leaness they may acheive are TEMPORARY. Manipulating bodyfat levels through caloric restriction is ALWAYS temporary. It's a cheap parlor trick.
Lung burners! need to get back on these! whereabouts is this hill ...?

The bouncing jugs at :28 raised my testosterone level by 200 ng/dl. But then the gay music came on and lowered it by 200 ng/dl. So it's a wash.

I'd have the beer. I train for performance, not to look lumpy.
