The whole movie is a contradiction. It's supposed to send out the message of being judged by appearance is bad, and you should judge by actions. Yet the GPK's piss themselves, fart and throw up on people, steal, make fun of each other, eat human parts, fight people, and threaten the one person who actually likes them!

There's an inside joke in the movie: director Rod Amateu had previously created the disastrous mid-60s sitcom My Mother the Car, which featured a character named Capt. Manzini...do you think it's just a coincidence that Anthony Newley's character has the same name here? :-)
