  • ty so much! now i wont poke myself in the eye trying to change it myself. ;)

  • Just got a new Acoustic and broke a fucking string already. Grr!

  • fuck i was practicing a riff im a beginner by the way , and the B string just snapped and hit me in the arm. it pisses me off that u say u have to change all the strings now ,this is takeing up all my practise time i cant even replace 1 string. i have all these replacement strings in a box i dont even know, are all strings the same??? cuz i have 6 strings that came with the guitar which one goes where? im screwwd AHHHHHHH!!

  • Look at the pack mate. Strings are labeled in gauge. i.e. 10-13-17-26-34-42.

    ebgdaE

thinnest e up to thickest E

  • well what I really wanted to know is how to remove the pegs without damaging the guitar orthe pegs

  • what's a peg winder?

  • If you break a string....Change all the strings not just one....it'll sound like shit if you don't!!!!!

  • why?? cuz of the dif between the new ones and the old ones will make'em sound out of tune anyway even if u work hard to tune all the strings right??

  • sure but can't afford....

  • well doesn't sound too bad really.. i mean it won't sound as good as it could but if you don't want to buy another set of strings

just replacing one single string will do the job aswell

  • thankz

    very helpful

    xx

  • if that did't help any 1 there stupid

  • I was stringing my Jackson (electric) and the damn nut popped off!!

should I keep trying to string it and the strings will hold the nut, or do I just take it in to be strung?

  • omg!! that fuckin hilarious!! soory

  • thanks this helped a lot. it would have helped the other people too if they had functioning brains and could read books without pictures.

  • thank you it was so help full.

  • I can't find a vid like this for a squire guitar.....

  • that's what im saying....i just broke mine a couple of hours ago. I don't know wtf to do. lol

  • oh man I know a video that will help let me see if I can find it bro

  • garbage! cant see a fuckin thing

  • then your blind

  • shut the fuck up! it's a shity tutorial face it!

  • uh no it not it helped me alot

  • this doesn't help at all

  • yeah for real man they suck at makin tutorials

  • i hate expert village, it's such sh*t.

  • i know does not help at all

  • erm...it didnt tell you how to stretch the string. if u dun stretch it, when u play the string will be out of tune.

And turning some turns around the knob is not the best way cus it will leave a slag that is unstretched resulting the string being out of tune everytime u play

    :) hope this helps

  • why are people hating on this video.

he's teaching you how to re-string a guitar.

    be greatful ftw.

    dumbasses.

  • nice!

  • me 3

  • i need electric not acoustic!

  • dito

  • its the same technique for electric...and btw...havent ur moms teached u how to behave?

  • tihs vid sucks

  • i cant get the G string's peg out.you should have played the guitar at the end of your video. reply back or message me as soon as posible

  • can som1 help me? My e-guitar's 6th string has a small cut/bump, i dunno how i managed to do it but when i lay that string from the bump and above the sound gets ugly and out of tone, do i have to change the string, or is it somthing else?

  • anybody kno where i can get some guitar strings.

  • After I watched this video I changed the strings on guitar. But the second to the smallest string does not sound right on my guitar (even after I tuned it). It makes this one weird sound like it is vibrating in a way it shouldn't.

  • it might be touching one of the frets.

  • It isn't.

  • ive been wrong before. ^^

  • did you stretche them a lil before you put them on

  • try moving the bridge up higher it might be vibrating weird on the frets,or when you put it on it could of overlaped another twist\string

  • i'll try that

  • lol g string

  • Camera man should be close up at the machine heads not showing the whole guys body..

  • its crazy bad ass fucked up

  • Do you have to use the peg winder?

  • no, it's optional

  • good

  • get a peg winder. Its probably the best 2$ you will spend. It will save you so much time and grief. After your first time turning the peg 1000 times by hand you'll be sorry you didnt use a peg winder. So take my advice and get one.

  • :) When I bought my strings the owner of the music store threw in a peg winder for free.

  • Very helpful ... I have changed many strings ... they way you did the top was much better ... thank you ...

  • hey same guitar as me

  • i barely broke my string n i was confused how to change it!!then i remember YOUTUBE!!!hahaha....

  • can i ask if i buy a classical guitar am i be able to change the nylon string to a steel string?

  • I was wondering how to change the strings on my guitar. Are ther more then one type of peg winder or is there only one type? Because I don't have one right now but if I buy one then I'll want to buy the right type.

  • they're all the same

  • Thanks dude. I just got my guitar three months ago and I was dreading the first change. No more!

  • It's nice someone took the time to create a video for this.

  • no way that was the worst demonstraion possible!
