Basically ... The water goes down a vertical shaft then it goes along to the pump room however there is a bypass to this leading to the exit but the more likely outcome if you fell in is that you would get sucked into the pump room by the current. Then you would certainly die.unless by luck you managed to be on the right side of the drain. However I don't know about turbines along the shaft or drain mentioned by another commenter . From what I know I don't see any reason for them to be there. H

@utube69101 it empties on the other side of the dam and splashes up to the surface after traveling through the drain system. there are mini turbines in place, aside from the primary turbines of the dam to help produce extra energy for excess water in the lake. if you get close to these, you will get pulled in, and you will not survive. you will either drown from getting caught inside the drain, or get shredded from the turbines.
